Pffft, LAN parties are the most unsociable parties in the known univerise (cant say about the bits we dont know).
Give me 4 player Mario Kart on the N64/Gamecube/DS/Virtual Console any day :D

That depends entirely on the people you're lanning with.  Believe me, I know that from experience  :P

I also think it depends on the reason for the lan party, too... if I were to go to a big lan, I'd be there for competitive gaming; if it was with my mates, it'd be to just screw around with stuff and have a laugh.

[rant]I say that LANs are full of cunts, because I hate leachers.  I hate people that can't play just yet, becuase they need to get this or that while it's still up.  I hate people that think they're going to bash me at lan, too, becuase that shit is fucking funny, in a sick, sadistic way.  40% being ultra-geeks is too low.

I play games with my friends.  My CSS clan is, by extrapolation, full of friends, and we're sitting in the WALinerz invite league.  LANs are full of people who are not my friends.  They're full of people not in clans, part of WALinerz or some other ladder/community.  Those people don't know what they're doing, and when I'm at a LAN, I'm there to be ultra-competitive and get as much practise in as possible, rather than sit around while people leach stuff that doesn't interest me at all.  LANs are also a ways away from Rockingham, apart from WolsLAN, but I cbf going to that.  Plus, the viruses and shit that can go around.  I don't like LANs, incase you can't tell   [/rant]

Except for those times that you're wrong.  But no one talks about them, so yeah, you're always right.

Bah, you should have got them.  Who are the staff of the Freo Hardly Normal to judge?  There's only about 12 of them in total  :cunning:

For your DVDs however, try either 78s or JB HiFi.  Plus, we're talking real Transformers here, so only true fans would buy the DVDs, which means that you were raised properly.  They aren't for kids, you know  ;)

Brontosaurus is an erroneous term. I'd be happier if you used the correct nomenclature, apatosaurus.

Please don't hurt me.

I was going to say the same thing, only I wasn't going to be a dino-nazi  :raspberry:

Almost.  It's Brachiosaurus.  MY favourite Transformer was most likely either Jazz or Soundwave... both were/are very cool, even if Soundwave is "unchrasimatic"  ;D

Dinoriders was awesome, but watching it now, I can't help but cringe at how the T-Rex stands.  The reality (as far as we know today) is that they didn't stand upright at all, but more in the shape of a T, and that really bugs me for some reason.  Probably because I loved dinosaurs as a kid, and they got it wrong when compared to what I know about dinosaurs  :err:

Shockwave is rare i think, a loose one went on ebay for about $250. You usually see trypticon floating around ebay now and then, the toy could walk! how awesome is that.

is shockwave that dude that turns into a stereo, and he also has a cassette inside him which turns into a bird or something? If so, I had that!! If not, forget I posted anything....

That's Soundwave.  He comes with Laserbeak, the hawk that spies on the Autobot Moonbase 1 in the movie, right at the begging, after Unicron is introduced.  Yes, I watched it thismorning.

Far out... that'll be quite the long list... lets see...

I know I've got Optimus Prime, although I think I'm missing the missile things he fired from the back of his truck, Soundwave, with Laserbeak (I think that's the name... I should be shot for not being 100% sure) missing its head (lost that in Scotland when I was 5), Grimlock, the crane Destructocon, Jazz, and several others I can't remember off of the top of my head.  I might take pictures of them all when I get a camera.

I don't collect them any more (they're over-priced these days) but I've still got a good thirty or so from back in the day.

Or Scene points.  Then if you're posting in something like the Nerd's corner, and you're totally un-nerdly, you can still lose points while the system can still make sense.
