Here's another new one called 'Silence'

Musician Connection / Prescient searching for bass player
« on: June 07, 2011, 12:05:18 PM »
Prescient are in search of a bass player. Our current bass player has an injury and wont be able to continue with us. We are a metal/progressive instrumental band with an ep just completed.

We are looking for someone interested in odd timings/polyrhythms, someone who can contribute to the song writing process and someone that will be a prominent bass player as we are instrumental the focus is more on the musician rather than a vocalist. Our tuning is mainly drop A but we now have songs written in F#, drop D and standard B so a 5 string bass would be necessary.

You can check out a teaser track from the new ep here:

can send complete songs on request.

If interested contact Drew on 0417327579 or

there is a new song called 'Fragments of the Forgotten' on our reverbnation page, heres the link!

Unfortunately Alarum have lost their guitarist and were forced to cancel but on a more positive note Dogs of War are back in action and have been added to the show!

We are happy to announce that Australian progressive metal band Alarum will be heading over from Melbourne to play on this show!

Alarum are soon to release their new album 'Natural Causes' and have toured and played with bands such as Necrophagist, Arsis, Neuraxis & Cattle Decapitaion, Testament, Obituary, Lamb Of God, Aghora, Death Angel, Gojira & Dark Tranquillity as well as playing on metal festivals such as The New England Hardcore & Metal Festival, California Metalfest, Maryland Deathfest and ProgPower Europe. It's been more than 5 years since Alarum have made it over to Perth so we are looking forward to having them on the bill!

Check em out

Musician Connection / Prescient seeking vocals
« on: January 25, 2010, 11:48:23 AM »
Prescient are in search of vocals to complete our line up. We are a newly formed metal/progressive band drawing our influences from bands like Tool, Dream Theater, Between the buried and me, Sikth, Cynic, Strapping Young Lad, Meshuggah, Megadeth and many more.

We have no preference towards singing or screaming but someone capable of both would be ideal as we have a mixture of heavy and not so heavy material. An interest in odd timings/polyrhythms would also be benificial.

There is a demo you can check out at

If interested contact Drew on 0417327579 or email

WA Gigs / Re: RAILWAY RAMPAGE - Sat, 14th Nov @ Railway Hotel
« on: November 16, 2009, 01:30:57 PM »
apologies to Nexus for not getting to play a full set, i didn't realise this as i was running around doing other things. The manager of the railway Nick was pretty pissed that the jazz ran an hour over what it should have and after i told him we needed to get going or we wouldn't fit all the bands on he had a word to them. Other than that it was a good show!
