March 10 - Brisbane - The Tivoli Theatre
March 11 - Melbourne - Billboard The Venue
March 12 - Sydney - The Forum
March 13 - Adelaide - HQ
March 15 - Perth - The Capitol
Tickets go on sale on November 7 at 9:00 a.m.

Bassist/founding member Dennis Pepa of the long-running San Francisco Bay Area metal act DEATH ANGEL has announced his departure from the band.
"I've been with DEATH ANGEL since its inception in the '80s and believe it is time for me to move on," he said in a statement released to BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "Throughout my career with the band, I've brought a punk-influenced edge to the DEATH ANGEL sound, and as an open-minded musician in need of change, I'd like to diversify and explore other opportunities within and beyond the genre of metal. The DEATH ANGEL guys are my family, both literally and figuratively speaking, and I wish them luck on their future endeavors. Many thanks go out to Nuclear Blast Records and the fans, who have extended their support and friendship — I look forward to being involved in new music projects and continuing to connect with all of you."

Poor promotion and WA Wait Awhile attitudes will usually lead to a change of venue.
Having said that its so much harder to have a presence with posters etc than it used to be.
The radio and online presence for the tour has been quite good.
I'm surprised about the slow tix sales, as there are virtually no traditional thrash bands in Perth, and its the most popular sub-genre of metal in Perth, so I would've thought people would be champing at the bit to get a ticket.

Armoured Saint were pretty cool despite not having john bush
DEATH ANGEL were totally thrash-tastic! ... bit bummed they only played the intro to Ultra Violence but the set was killer regardless :headbang: . Death Angel/Armoured Saint let there be rock jam @ the end was the icing on the cake

I had a fucking great time at this gig. Pity about the shite turn out, but I guess it was better for those of us who were there because it was like having thrash legends performing at your own private party ;)

I think I'm still on a high from it and I think it stands at one of the best gigs I have been to in my life.
I managed to get both bands on video as well as the ACDC jam so they will be on Youtube soon. Oh and some photos too ;D

DA owned it last night, one of the best amps gigs ever in terms of stage presence, enthiusiasm, the only other band to come close was Napalm D.
A pure lesson in Bay Area thrash.
They really we're excited to tour here, it wasn't just media talk, very genuine bunch of guys, it showed on stage.
AS killed it too, and Psychonauts brief appearance was well worth turning up early for. :headbang:
Thanks to everyone who didnt go, as I had more room to move at the front. 8)
I reckon they're unlikely to tour here again, because of the turnout. They may come back with a more "Popular" or "Hip" band.

Was amazing for a young fella like myself to see these Bay Area heroes in the flesh considering I was barely 2 when they broke up. A gig I'll never forget, not even long after the ringing in my ears stops ???.

One of the BEST shows I've EVER been to. Death Angel slayed.
Every self respecting metalhead should have been there. Those that weren't needed to be even more to get an education in what metal should be, especially anyone in a band - if you weren't then you can be safe in the knowledge that you'll never be that good.
