Western Front has received some funding from ArtsWA so you are going to see a lot of big changes around here.
The result will be a push to expand the WA and the Australian metal music scene, to bring it all together, and to improve both the scene itself and it's exposure to the rest of the world.
This will involve a full redevelopment and expansion of the site, in both the design and the functionality.
There will be all the features you see now, plus a lot more, and WF will network all of Australia's metal music scenes together, with Perth as the HQ and central hub.
Most importantly this will be a service to both the bands AND the fans within the scene, so I want your input as well, on how to make things the best they can be.
I have set up a suggestions thread which will explain this in more detail and serve as an avenue for your input. Please save your comments about improvements for that thread.

Thats really cool to hear man. But I hope the layout of the forum itself doesnt change because being a member of 10,000,000,023 forums on the net, I can safely say that the WF forum is by far the best. I've even put links to it on other fforums to show them what a good forum is supposed to be like.

A lot of them just hate music, hate people and they hate life. They go around just trying to be provocative and to purposely scare people just for the hell of it. Whereabout is the relevance to heavy metal here?

A lot of the "scariness" of Varg was due to the record companies, etc. because he was 'black metal' he was supposed to be evil and scary, it was even them that told him to dye his hair black because it would make him appear more evil.
Plus besides, if he hated music he would have just stuck with burning churches instead of releasing seven full-length albums.

Bloody oath well done guys!! a Grant and Funding forum might be a good idea, are you aware of the SOUND ATTENUATION SUPPORT PROGRAM (SASP) FUND its a once-off $250,000 program that provide funding to assist the operators and owners of live original contemporary music venues to develop sound reduction measures.

This new font blows. I liked the old-new one better.

I find there is too much contrast. The yellow is too bright I think. At first glance, it looks like what my computer does when it is being gay and makes the resolution super low.

On the other hand, at it's easier to read.
Yellow and black are great, IMHO. Reminds me of wasps, and tonka trucks, and grizzly crime scenes.
In other words, my childhood :P

There will still be some tinkering with minor things to sort out as well though, and will be listening to feedback.

All I know is I had to login again. Also, I dont much like the text box when typing a new post. And the quote boxes being white for that matter....just my opinion though of course. As long as WF is still around, I dont really give a flying fornication what it looks like.

Yeah, don't worry the proper settings should be on the new server.. this is just temporary.
I accidentally screwed up and uploaded the wrong file on this server and over wrote the old settings. :P
