Is there really a band called "Ridakyul"?

And is it really a "loving" tribute?

Who is "Pat Hogen" and will he be playing on this night?

So, is Pathogen actually playing? Will be interesting to see the turn out at this one and the UTI gig on the same night, considering the bands and their previous history (although it does seem to be one sided).

Formentin too?? Although, this is not the first time you've mixed us up Jez.  :-[

Id prefer not to comment. My business or endorsement deals are no one's business but mine and the people they are offered to. But to be frank, I'd rather try and keep the peace.

Havent seen Pathogen play for ages. I expect this one to be packed. Kickstart will be playing after midnight for those that like their metal with a bit more hair spray  :headbang: ;D

Is there really a band called "Ridakyul"?

Yes..They even got pissed at me coz i spelt their band name wrong on the original artwork (Ridikyul).  They were all like,  "it's got an A in it"  and i was like  "it's not even meant to have a K or a Y in it but wha'effa"

And is it really a "loving" tribute?

Yes...Very loving  ;D

Who is "Pat Hogen" and will he be playing on this night?

He's that asshole who takes forever to put out albums & YES, he will be playing that night

So, is Pathogen actually playing?

Yep, totally

Yeah Rob used to make some GREAT guitars!!  I had on old Formentin 7 string, with Blaze7 pickups, that i regretably swapped for a Marshall preamp/emulator.  This person then stripped it and painted it, funnily enough he sold it to the guys from Vespers Descent who brought it in to use in the Visions n Verse album...i barely even recognised my old baby  :(  at least she was put to some good use.

Haven't had the honour of playing an Ormsby yet but i'm sure they're also brilliantly crafted, professional instruments.

Well get your arse down here and try some out :)

Rob made some cool gear, damn i nearly bought one of the carved tops guitars he did back in the day. Its a shame he stopped building, but i guess he just lost interest. Funnily enough, I asked him for a job and was willing to work for free just to get a foot in the door. Prepared to sign a contract, sweep floors, clean shitty toilets, whatever, I just wanted to be in a building where someone was building guitars. He said no. A few years later I started up, and he started referring people to me :)

The irony in this is that after talking to Tommy Ions at that touring meeting I had decided to stop stirring the pot on this issue.  I should have realised that I needn't bother, the pot stirs itself.   ;D

Can we please search Perth for a guy actually called 'Pat Hogen' and sponsor him to host the gig?

Give him a chair at the side of the stage?

That would be hilarious.

And he totally needs one of those "Hi! My name is:" stick on name tags.

the fact that UTI lost their ormsby guitars endorsement

I know it was implied, and I read between the lines (http://www3.airnet.ne.jp/~vzr04461/album/South%20of%20Heaven.jpg) and figured that out as well, but I dont think it has actually been stated that this is what happened...
