Hehe.... you numpty - I LOVE LA CASTELLA! Its a great owner/operator venue - i reckon the decor is just fine and you do a great job putting on some killer gigs there.
My only gripe is that im only interested in METAL gigs there.... not the other plethora of aforementioned genres. You'd do well to target your audiences closer 8)

haha people have been bagging out the Castle since it was first opened. Wayne has really turned the place around from when it first opened, and the current PA system there is insane (as well as the current lighting rig).

Yeah, it's one of the best in Perth. I'm often disappointed by the lighting at other local venues such as the Hydie and the Railway.

I was at the first metal gig ever held there (as far as Im aware) with The Furor, the Uncreation, Maxi P and the debut gig of Wardaemonic. Was an awesome night. August 05 by memory. It was a stop over on my way back to moving to Gero from Bunbury.

Seriously, it's not hard to click the "remove from my events" button on the invites you don't want. I get less Castle spam than from most other apps like that Farmville crap, and a gazillion other quizes and such.

I think the point there is you know Farmville etc. will ALL be worthless so you can blanket ignore it, whereas the Castle spam would have the occasional interesting piece of information.

I agree the castle has improved. Keep it up.
You need to replace the cover on the septic tank outside. It is in a public pathway through the alley round back. The cover is rusted like swiss cheese & I had to stop someone from stepping on it the other week. When you come from the back to the front the security light turns on after the cover so you don't see it. If someone steps on it they will fall in & this has the potential for serious injury. Because it is in a public area anyone can step on it @ any time.
I don't want to see anone get hurt & I don't want to see the venue get shut because of an avoidable lawsuit.
Also the aircon/fridge motor mounted on the back wall @ head height. It has exposed live power wires & the exposed fan has metal blades. Make a mesh shroud or something for fucks sake, before someone gets electricuted or loses a finger.
I am impressed with the improvements however these 2 issues need to be addressed asap before someone gets seriously hurt.

Sorry but Im just a promotor and bar girl, not a tradesman let alone the owner. I agree theres loads that needs fixing but I'm not the one to talk to about the repairs and if i did have the money/ control, I'd have fixed a lot o things there by now.

He does a better job than most other venues manage, unless they specially get in someone to mix for their metal nights. Metal ain't easy to mix, and Simmo does a good job at it.
