Hey all,
We at desolate are beginning the search for a drummer to replace our current member shane. Our music at this stage is fairly straight forward in style, i would say it is a mix of melodic death and thrash. Having been jaming for about 18 months now, we have finally found the path we wish to follow with our music. The new stuff we are writing is taking influence from: Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon, Testament, Periphery, Meshuggah, Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving, Textures and more. These influences are just on MY part of the writing, our bass player has his own influences which contribute to what we think is a fairly unique sound.
We are looking for someone who is dedicated, genuinely interested in the music, willing to experiment and somewhat of a perfectionist. We are currently at the stage of recording guitars for our debut release, and have started booking gigs again started with July 9th at amplifier!
a high skill level is a must, good gear, good attitude. gig experience isnt neccessary, but the free time to jam at the least twice a week is a definate must!
At this stage we have nothing really to give to you as an idea / introduction to the band, as we havnt finished the E.P yet, (which we are recording at Sleepwalkers Dread studio in dawesville, run by Aaron Polard of T.t.o.l) so we would just organise for you to come down to a jam and have a listen, or to simply come watch a gig.

drummers are usualy found in kids playgrounds (with the kids still in it) and bassists (if needed) are under bridges bludging off trolls. :D
