Title: Amp Transport
Post by: Senton on August 01, 2010, 03:43:05 AM
Ok so my girlfriend plays guitar in a band and uses a VOX AC30. Not a bad amp, but weighs about 22 kilos though, so its bloody heavy to carry around.

Casters (Wheels) arent really gonna be able to hold the weight, and several music shops have advised us against drilling into it ( i dont really fancy destroying it).

I was wondering if anybody could either recommend a cheap 'road case' or has anybody had luck making their own...

Just get some wood and make a little dolly for it - a square piece of wood with 4 wheels on it and a tow rope and you'll be golden :)

A old sack barrow would be perfect

Casters are available to suit everything from a half kilo, to a 1000kg per wheel.

But, the trolley is much more convenient.

Trolleys are a pain in the arse if stairs are involved, unless ya strap the amp down onto it.  ;)
