They were awesome, better than expected!

i dont know about the festival shows but i just saw them open for hatebreed in melbourne earlier tonight so would have to assume they are still playing soundwave

3
Would tickets be available at the door as well?

4
A few clashes but somewhat manageable, just a pain in the arse having to switch between the two metal stages. Luckily nothing on the main stage I wanna see and some of the other bands like Cromags and Hatebreed I will see in Melbourne as sidewaves  ;D

Saw Wizard Sleeve last weekend, great band. Must see this lineup now

And how long will this last? Nasty Wednesdays lasted couple weeks, Hype seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Great ideas but they really need to keep with it if they are gonna do it at all.

Why bother coming all this way to Australia just for 2 shows? You would think bands would make the most of it while they are here and do a proper tour.

Yeah sound was a little off which was disappointing but amazing guitar stuff. I see Voyager threw in some power rangers in their little cover medley haha

I dont think Priest is big enough to be the main headliner for this festival, if they cancelled with Cooper and Van Halen, I doubt they would run with just Priest. Id say expect something bigger

Great gig, awesome time. Cant wait for next year.

Just heard most of the metal bands from revolution will be at sw2012 including dev, machine head and gojira plus a heap more. They also just announced Counter Revolution but its basically just a smaller mini-festival with all the shitty bands, no metal.

I managed to score a ticket at the last minute so fucking happy about that, it was a killer show. Crowd was nuts which I didnt expect at a Kyuss show, thought maybe it would be a little bumpy but not like that, it was fucking packed at the gig, never seen Amps that full before. The band were just awesome, heavy and loud, played all the classics including Green Machine! Somehow ended up on the rail after starting at the back, didnt even try but it happened! So glad I got a ticket, well worth it.

Hatebreed, Gojira, Devin, Hellyeah are pretty much it for me, hopefully a decent headliner will be announced to make it worthwhile
