Australian Tours / Re: MOTORHEAD/Black Label Society Australian Tour 2011
« on: December 07, 2010, 05:14:44 PM »
I'm guessing Challenge. I heard that when Motorhead played Challenge last time that they struggled to fill it and when BLS played Metro City, they packed it out.

Yeah BLS @ Metro's was PACKED, add Motorhead into the mix and they're gonna need a pretty massive venue...

I didn't think it was packed. From memory, the upper levels weren't even opened. I'm sure BLS will pull more than Rose tattoo (who played with them at Challenge). That Motorhead, Rose tattoo gig was still pretty righteous.

Another option is to buy 4x Eminence speakers & wire em into the cab you already have. The v128 is great, also the Texas Heat & the Cannibas Rex by Eminence are totally tits.
I have 2 Texas Heats & 2 Cannibas Rex speakers in my quad  :headbang:
The v128 only comes in 8ohm, the Texas Heat & Cannibas Rex come in either 8 or 16ohm.  ;)

I have the Laney cab also and was thinking of changing speakers (possibly swamp thangs or a combination). Is it worth it? How much difference do the speakers make compared to the construction/materials of the cab? I am assuming speakers have a bigger impact.

Rag doll cats get quite big and can act like dogs (pretty lazy and follow you around and shit). Still not a dog by any means.  My missus' family got one from the cat haven around Shenton park.

I cant believe I never heard of these guys.

How fucking low do they tune?

I think I see 5 wound strings.

Metro Freos is accessible. For a relatively small crowd like there was at Down its pretty much perfect from the left side see the whole lot.  I would call the promoter though if you want to be sure/try and get a better spot.

i hope the Eagles Of Shit Metal get bottled their terrible and for those who may not know them they aren't even close to metal let alone death

Isn't it lucky they're not trying to be either!

The original eagles of death metal was on a dessert sessions album. The vocals weren't guttural, more like cooky monster singing over a surf rock vibe riff.  It made more sense anyhow. Im not big on em now, but the drummer was responsible for Kyuss so he do whatever the fuck he wants.

Ha. Glad I put 6' in my door instead of fucking with the 4'.  Fuck, that was almost 11 years ago and its still goin.

I dont see them as a genuine contender for quite some time, and thats just not good enough for a team whos been in the AFL for almost 15 years now

I'm sure there are teams who have had longer gaps between successful/premiership seasons.

Rebuilding? so they just gonna build up sides, fail, then rebuild a new side to fail?

They've never rebuilt like this before.  Usually recruited older players (which was a shit house idea obviously) in the past and are paying for it. Unfortunately the next draft is compromised due to the gold coast so that makes it harder.  The list clearly isn't as good as people are saying, from those names suggested only Tarrant and Sandilands are playing better than the previous year.  You can clearly see the lack of experience in the team. They imploded against Carlton and simply couldn't move forward. Then you have the Crows who have a FAR better defensive pressure than Carlton so you expect them to take a beating if they didn't turn up ready to play. But 1 goal is inexcusable and Schammer should be dropped for kicking it through Adelaide's goals. That set the tone of the match right there.

*coughlaidleycough*.

wow.

The Randy portrait on the back  :o amazing.

So does this mean there's a LA ink style show for Ormsby guitars in production now?  :P

I mean fuck if you can do it for choppers and tattoos, guitars go hand in hand with that shit.

Yeah Dikembe was awesome. Even a season or two a ago he was playing fairly well pulling boards and getting blocks, starting when Yao was out.  Speaking of players from the nineties I usually wear my old as fuck magic jersey to the gym and already have had two people try and give me shit about them losing. I like them but I've found it hard to follow an NBA team with all the trades. Sonics were my favorite team because of the Kemp/Payton era but the owner went and fucked that right up.

And yeah Howard is a monster. That last game of the eastern conference finals showed that, but Kareem was right in the end he's still too predictable at the moment and Phil Jackson is used to defending players like him (Howard is like a Kemp on steroids).

I mean we cant really complain, apart from the finals the whole play off series was pretty good. Especially the conference finals, both east and west.

And yeah Nelson lagged off Fisher, I mean the dude has hit big shots before.  I still wish Houston could have taken Lakers out being an Artest fan. He should have hit Kobe for that elbow.

I just watched my first entire season of NBA basketball, thanks to the wonders of Foxtel and ESPN - 2 games a week, thats my sports quota filled. I have officially abandoned football altogether. It was only ever a fill in sport for me because I never had the chance to watch NBA.

But now its over.

Though in saying that..I am still amazed at how we have managed to lose to them twice this year...once in the Pre-season then in Rd7...

Though..wait till Round 14...we will smash em :D

and Carlton can suck a cock with their tanking for top draft picks, uneven trades and the usual Victoria based umpire advantages  ;D

My old hood, Carine, North Beach, Marmion, Trigg- near the beach in the north is the best!

Not bad for a girl born in Armadale  ;)

Ha. Whats wrong with Armadale?  :P Some of the best years of my life were spent there.

I actually found a syringe out the front of my house on a quiet street in Mt Hawthorn the other day. So go figure, dirty cunts are everywhere.
