Suggestions / Embedding Youtube videos
« on: December 08, 2011, 12:15:25 AM »
Seen this on other forums and it's pretty darn useful. Half the time when people post just a link I've gotta be honest.. I don't even bother clicking on it most of the time, new window.. new website etc. Being a music website/forum - being able to embed video's, music and other clips would be pretty handy on here and probably pick discussion up some. But on the negative it'd probably clock up the monthly usage quicker would it not?

Equipment for sale / GUITARS FOR SALE
« on: March 13, 2011, 09:03:36 AM »
G'day,

2 guitars for sale that sadly due to financial constraints I need to let go. Not playing them is 1 thing because you never know when you'll decide to come back to them, but having to sell for spare cash is always shithouse.

Anyway, here we go:

Jackson V Performer

  • ps 3 model
  • 22 frets
  • comes with hardcase
  • Bolt on neck
  • Japan made
  • well maintained - very good condition due to the case
  • thin neck for quicker playing
  • double locking tremolo
  • $500.00 ono.

Ibanez RG450

  • 24 frets
  • Ormsby custom made pearl pickguard
  • double locking tremolo
  • some cosmetic damage, otherwise in good condition
  • Korean made
  • bolt on neck - 25 1/2" scale
  • $450 ono.

Both guitars play beautifully but could use some TLC as until recently they haven't been played in a little while.

Please buy so I can pay my speeding/parking fines!  :(

Greetings,

We are Wrath of Fenrir; a five-piece Blackened War Metal band hailing from Perth, Western Australia. Our  instrumental and lyrical content combines numerous elements of black, folk and more progressive aspects of metal. The band members all share common beliefs and like minded attitudes in our musical pursuits while also individually holding diverse influences of music in general. Wrath of Fenrir endeavours to ensure that this is always reflected in our music and the way in which we present and promote ourselves while simultaneously producing a brand of metal unique to Perth.

Our debut will see us perform at the Children of the Horns minifest in support Indonesian act Burgerkill on their Australian tour on Saturday the 30th of January at HQ Leederville alongside Perth heavy-weights Grotesque, Neverborn, Malignant Monster and Sins of the Father.

Wrath of Fenrir are also excited to announce that they will be playing at the following gigs:

20th of February at the Castle with Mhorgl, Bereavement and Desolate.

Sound Advice / SOUNDPROOFING - the most effective methods?
« on: January 13, 2009, 04:58:49 AM »
So I have a massive shed out the back and want to convert it to a soundproof room, it's a Tin shed and I was thinking of building a double brick soundproofed room inside it but i'm not sure of the specifics of doing something like this. My budget is i'm guessing around 10K hypothetically.

What would be the best course of action, ie. Materials for walls, floor, ceiling and soundproofing for all of these things?

And don't bother mentioning things like mattresses and egg cartons, I want this to work.

Cheers in advance.

Musician Connection / Drummer for Folk/black/pagan/viking project or band
« on: September 09, 2008, 12:13:37 AM »

Just testing the waters here..

I've been very enterested for a while now in doing something in the vein of Moonsorrow and Kampfar etc. for a while now, just wanting to see if there's any further interest in wanting to do something like this?

I'm aiming for something more midpaced possibly with keyboards, plenty of atmosphere and powerful vocals to fill it all in.

PM/email/msn me those keen.
