Musician Connection / Guitarist for 2ndgraderenegade needed
« on: July 17, 2011, 04:04:50 AM »
Looking for another guitarist for 2ndgraderenegade. Not required just yet, but just seeing who is out there and may look at joining in the near future.
Preferably in the late 20 to early 30's age group. Need someone with good gear, and with an interest in experimentation with their metal and a knowledge of what they are attempting, not to deviate too much from the fold, but defintaley be into messing with ideas that kick ass ultimately. (not that there's a hell of alot left)

Songs currently are being written by me and we have a few more written ones to jam out and get into the set list, but then would be keen to possibly work with new guitarist to write some more when those are ready and we start giging.
Not necessarily looking for anyone to write or contribute on that side of things, but could be fun.
Just someone to play the shit would be just fine.

So please PM if interested in the near future. Be good to hear from you.
Check out songs here....http://www.reverbnation.com/c./poni/47110968
Thanks...

« on: July 02, 2011, 04:13:44 AM »
Not sure anyone has had this problem before or not.
Ok this is the thing....I have a reverbnation account and i have supposedly linked it to the bands current facebook page. (Which i created thru Rn) Thats all good i can get it thru Reverbnation easily enough,

But, i dont have a email addy or password to acess it on the facebook log in page, i just dont have an account as such.
I dont know how the fuck ive managed to setup a FB page without an email or password.

I want to able to acces the facebook page thry facebook, and have no idea what to do.

So basilcy it exists in facebook, fine, but i can only get to it via reverbnation and i cant seem to do much else with it.

Just tell me to fuck off with that crazy shit, i would. :-\

« on: May 12, 2011, 09:59:36 PM »
What do you think the lamest tv series has been over the years???

Had a bit of time on my hands the last week, so tv has been on the menu for some of it.

Apart from the fact daytime tv sicks fuckn balls, ive come across what i think is the lamest piece of utter shit series i think ive ever been subjected to.

So im throwing "Airwolf the series" out there.
It makes me wanna fuckn hurl, i seriously cant believe some dumb asses paid money to film it, and thought it was ok to air.
It makes Walker Texas ranger worthy of an Emmy or whatever the fuck the call that shit over there.

The most collosal fail of all IMO.

The Frontline / driver detective cunt
« on: December 20, 2010, 09:22:34 PM »
I downloaded a proggie called "driver detective" which basicly scans the compy and tells you if your drivers a out of date etc.
anyway, as suspected, half my computer is out of date. so started the process of updating shit.
long story short the computer is now fuckn rooted beyond belief giving me error messages such as missing dll file, error occured in this and fucking that. i cant do anything now, cant even do a system restore.

anyone heard about this driver detective program before? any ideas how to fix this cunt? i envisage a full reinstall of everything (except driver detective) and a whole lot of bad attitude to go with it.

constructive opinions only please hahahah ahhhh fuckn computers!  cheers :'(

Western Australia / For the record
« on: November 12, 2010, 04:27:26 AM »
I did write a decent sized speil on this topic but decided to remove it. All been said before.

A friend of the famlies, friends, got bashed by a bunch of "you know who's" whilst in their own home, and they were women. Mother and daughter.
Completely random.
A regular Mrs Smith and daughter.
Belted with bats and sticks and then they re-grouped and came back for more before evading the pigs. Head trauma the whole bit.

Now before i go off on a fuckn rant again, i will leave it here.
This is just for the record. and a long one at that.

When the fuck is something gonna get done eh?

Sound Advice / who wants to home tutor me?
« on: September 26, 2010, 12:49:11 AM »
Anyone here that has extensive-ish experience in mixing that wants to earn some money doing a few home tutors?
I have Cubase 4 and a few other bits and pieces here so i have the tools.

Im getting a decent enough sound but would like some pointers on setting up a better drum sound ie compression, gating etc.
I seem to be missing some things in my mixes, mainly, nuts nad clarity on the dums and bass side of it.

Really only looking for someone that has ben schooled or really knows their shit.

Feel free to PM me.
Cheers.
Deon.

Sound Advice / Buying a new computer for audio (MAC?)
« on: September 04, 2010, 06:21:09 PM »
Im wanting a new computer for audio production.
Im using an iMAC right now with 2duo core, 4 gig ram at 2hz.

It doesnt seems to be enough power wise. Iits cracking a wobbly under a low latency 192 or 4.35ms input.
Which is fair enough, im also running SD2, 4 POD farm tracks, symphoinc choirs vst and a bass POD farm track, while expecting the compy to run on this low latency while recording vocals on another POD track.

Unless there is anything i can do to upgrage this thing im wanting another more powerful compy, but i dont wanna rush into it and run into this same problem again.

Can i get some opinions on what is the best way to go here + take a look at this on ebay for me and tell me what you think?
I guess i dont have to go Mac but this is what im used to.

Musician Connection / help with a drummer.
« on: August 22, 2010, 04:26:38 AM »
My band is still looking for a drummer. :(
had a couple of try outs, but fuck me, not getting anyone even close so far. :o

I know there's goodies out there, and possibly our style isnt what some dudes are interested in, but the music is still in its infancy, so was hoping whoever reads this could chip in and keep and ear open for anyone that could be becoming available soon, or is now.

I have some tracks for anyone that is interested, the songs have SD2 as drums which sounds kick ass, but ya cant exactly drag a computer around with ya for every gig, plus its just not how shits done right?

Im really looking for someone that holds music as one of their priorites and not just as a hobby, or not just thinking about trying out for a metal band coz they think they are probably good enough type thing.

Im not expecting someone to roll up to a rehearsal and know the songs "like that", im on the lookout for someone that can play dag nam it!
Then get onto learning the songs properly etc. The songs just arent that hard if youre a metal player plain and simple.

so looking for someone that flicks around the kit and not belts the living piss out of it while consantly trying to catch up.
Sorry to sound like a fuckn know all, but this is what im currently faced with.

So like i say, would really appreciate a bit of word of mouth if you would be so kind, there's a carton in it for whoever places right drummer. :drunk:

much obliged my fellow metal maniacs. :headbang:

« on: July 11, 2010, 05:09:08 PM »
Are people here aware of the speed cameras at traffic lights now?
at designated intersections along Canning Hwy and who the fuck know's where else?

These cameras are always on, all the time.

what the ferk? This place really gets under my skin at times.

So if you dont know now you do.
If its old news then i might crawl back under my rock and cower.

Musician Connection / 2NDGRADERENEGADE seeking drummer
« on: April 19, 2010, 05:25:13 AM »
I know available drummers are hard to come by these days but we are looking so what the hell.

Looking for the usual, good kit, transport, enthusiasm etc, etc.
Our stuff is pretty manic drum wise, so we need it all, speed, feel and extreme heaviness for lack of a better term.

Our influences are vast, but i have a link here of some songs in the making.
www.myspace.com/2ndgraderenegade

Im still finishing these songs off, so what you'll be hearing are roughish guitars and drums slightly mixed.
It'll give you a good idea of what we need anyway.
we will be needing another guitarist at some point as its only me on gits and vox and the bass player currently, but we will get to that soon.

Feel free to PM me or send me an email if yer keen.

Sound Advice / kick drum BPM?
« on: February 18, 2010, 05:56:44 AM »
Not sure where to put his so here will do i guess.

Can some of the drummers here give me an indication as to what their top end kick drum speed is?
Im looking at doing a song with parts at 230/234bpm. kick drum.
Ive already written the part and can hear that its fuckn smokin, but i wanna be able to tell my drummer he has to match it.

Just wanna know if its realistic or not. He's up over the 200 now, but could be pushing it.
