Remember: Deathcore = Death Metal + Hardcore. From Isolation know this and do it well.

Don't be misled by the Progressive Death Metal label shown on their page, From Isolation, a recent act from Australia, plays Deathcore. Ok, and now don?t be misled by the term Deathcore. Nowadays, when people think Deathcore they think Avenged Sevenfold or Annotations of an Autopsy but the real Deathcore that is indeed the encounter between Death Metal and Hardcore as Dying Fetus play it so, couldn't be further away from a music whose "Mallcore" labeling would be more fitting.

From Isolation does indeed mix Death Metal and Hardcore together. The production is fine and not too clinical and we're not overwhelmed by an avalanche of constantly shifting time signatures. It's aggressive, combining the double vocals of Death Metal growls and the harsh "cleaner" vocals of Hardcore together. Musicianship is rather high and these guys probably could take on any so-called ?Technical Brutal Death Metal? acts.

As written earlier don?t look for Progressive hints as you would for the music of Pan.Thy.Monium or Opeth because there?s none of that stuff. Complex songwriting does not necessarily imply Progressive elements. Are Origin a Death Prog band? I didn?t think so either.

I enjoyed most of the tracks musically speaking and brutality-wise as well. I?ll just pass on the cleaner ?indie? vocals found on ?Born From Rape? which don?t serve the song as well as the band may have thought but it?s a short part so it?s bearable. The rest is sheer aggressiveness and it?s fine by me. The bad news is that if you want a physical copy the postage will kill you (unless you?re from Australia), the good news, it?s available for free download on their last.fm page. Got that? Get it.

Ask Ormsby / Cheers Ormsby!
« on: June 05, 2010, 04:30:21 AM »
I just wanted to throw a quick thanks out to Perry for all his help today!  :headbang:

I took my 2 intended back-up guitars down there to be fitted with EMG's this arvo...
...not only did he rush my guitars in as I live so far away,
what was only supposed to be an hour and a half install turned into a four hour drama,
as he ran into some drama's with my guitars and the new EMG's.
But, he figured them all out no-probs, and had me back on my way.

I just got home and plugged them in, and they both crank bro!!  :worship:

Cheers for doing an excellent job! :headbang:
Will definately deal with you again!

From Isolation, a four piece featuring ex-members of Defect Notice (Matt and Seth), The Hairy Buffalo (Moose) and The Last (Josh).
We have been together since early 2009 and after few line up changes we pulled our shit together and recorded some demos in our Isolation Studios in the hope that we have the privilage of raping your earholes!!

For anyone that likes death with math/progressive flavours, a strong element of groove and quality beards and sideburns.  Check out our demos on myspace... :headbang:

It is with great sadness that we announce that Matt & Brad have decided to leave our project,
'From Isolation', in search of something along the lines of simpler death.

We wish them all the best in thier search.

So, with that said, I officially announce that we are in search of a vocalist/vocalist's,
who feel they could step up to the challenge.
We listen to Meshuggah, Decapitated, Textures, Sikth, Fell Silent, Benea Reach etc. etc.
just to name a few. For a complete list check out my Myspace, where you can hear 3 basic demos of what we are doing.
For more info call me, Josh on: 0413839813

Check my Myspace for 3 basic Demos (excuse the messyness) and a complete list of influences/what we listen to:
