« on: February 23, 2012, 03:45:37 AM »
THIS WEEK ON THE DARK GOSPEL on THE PIT FM!

If there was one metal band who could take the world of heavy metal by its balls, it?d be Meshuggah.

Arguably the finest metal band in the world today, this group of Swedes have been dominating the genre for well over a decade, with great albums such as ?Chaosphere? (1998), ?Nothing? (2002) and their most recent release, ?obZen.?

The metal legends are now to release yet another album through Nuclear Blast records. It is to be called ?Koloss?. ?Koloss? is to be the seventh album by the Swedish metal band and is to be released on March 23 in Germany, on March 26 in the rest of Europe, and March 27 in North America and other countries.

Join us on The Pit Fm during The Dark Gospel on Sunday 26th Feb from 4pm-7pm Australian WST and on The Blast Zone with Colin and Aaron  on Friday 2nd of March 9-12am, 7-10pm Australian WST to hear our interview with the Swedish overlords and pioneers of progressive metal as well as enjoy a few new tracks that have been pre-released before the most anticipated metal album of the year is released!

Western Australia / THE PIT FM presents ZAKK WYLDE and TURISAS
« on: January 10, 2012, 06:11:24 PM »
Hey all!
Over the next few weeks we have a few interviews airing, covering a few artists who are playing at soundwave 2012!

***ZAKK WYLDE & BLACK LABEL SOCIETY***
Coming up on THE PIT FM, Sunday 15th January at 16:00-1900 AWST, we shall be airing an interview with the infamous Zakk Wylde. Zakk is an American musician, songwriter, and occasional actor who is best known as the former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and founder of the heavy metal band Black Label Society. He was the lead guitarist and vocalist in Pride & Glory, who released one self-titled album in 1994 before disbanding. He has been named one of heavy metals most influencial guitarists of all time and set the standards high for all inspiring guitarists. We shall be discussing his recent sobriety, times with Ozzy from beginning to end, how he felt stepping into the shoes of Randy Rhoads, Black Label Society's new albums and upcoming tours as well as other topics. So be sure to tune in for a great interview, and some historic metal tunes played throughout the show!

***TURISAS***
Coming up on THE PIT FM, Sunday 22nd January at 16:00-1900 AWST, we are interviewing Mathias, from TURISAS. Hailing from Finland. these Norse Gods are obliterating their competition and, once again, affirming their status as one of the most exciting and fearless metal bands on the planet. TURISAS look certain to claim 2011 as another addition to their treasure trove of glory years. ?Stand Up And Fight?, their latest release is a lavish banquet of melody, muscle and haughty defiance; the sound of giant hearts beating out a rhythm for freedom, brotherhood and a horizon that never ends. We shall be discussing their giant-like steps to world domination, comparing vikings to pirates, Finnish mythology and more, so make sure you don't miss this exciting interview with the mighty Mathias from TURISAS and for the Australian fans out there make sure you catch them at SOUNDWAVE 2012!

Hey All!

THE PIT FM shall be playing interviews with Dave Hunt from USA metal act Anaal Nathrakh as well as Brendan Knock from Perth Act, Nails of Imposition.
Nails new album "Bloodletting Eroticism" shall be the feature album of the DARK GOSPEL show and shall be played in full extent with the interview segments with Brendan vocal orgasming in between sets.

Listen in to hear the secrets of Brendans drumming skills, as well as how he keeps his goatee in such a fine shape!

Anaal Nathrakh (For those who are not aware) are at the leading edge of cult-yet-innovative black metal bands, the Birmingham duo formed by Dave Hunt (Benediction, Mistress) and Mick Kenney (Frost, Mistress, Professor Fate, Fukpig). Their sound blurs the boundaries between 'raw' black metal and grindcore, with occasional nods to industrial and noise electronica.

Their second release on Candlelight, "Passion", came out in May 2011 and continues the hybrid blackened grindcore sound of 2009's In The Constellation of the Black Widow. Bucking the trends of newer black metal, "Passion" is an album that drops all pretensions of an appeal to higher spiritual existence, and instead plumbs the depths of human suffering and submission.

We recently had a chat to vocalist Dave about how the latest album came together, the reception, collaborations with Alan Dubin (Khanate) and Rainier Landfermann (formerly of cult German black metallers Bethlehem) as well as their soon-to-be-completed 7th studio album. He also spills the beans on his closely-guarded lyrical themes, the band's touring plans for 2012 and why you shouldn't buy him a beer.

Catch the full interview on The Blast Zone, Fridays 9am-12 and 7pm-10 AWST, Fridays 1am-4am and 11am-2pm UTC/GMT or Thursdays 7pm-10pm / Fridays 5am-8am US CST and on The Dark Gospel, Sundays at 4pm-7pm AWST.

There shall be more news on recent tours and releases during the shows as well as some of your favourite extreme metal tunes!

Furthermore, tune into Cameron and Paul (Cold Fate) on Saturdays from 3pm-5pm AWST to hear Morphica live in studio and listen to some Thrash and Prog Power!!!!

For more information and show times and genres, visit www.thepitfm.com or tune in to our smartphone app on www.thepitfm.com/mobile    :headbang:

Stay fucking metal!!!

"ridiculously good" was not meant to be taken as a generalist statement. If one can not see that, fair enough. All we are trying to do is progress music from this country by promoting it worldwide. Simply, if you would like your music played, send us tunes. If not, don't. we will have a site up in a week and streaming will start shortly after with the main launch taking place late next month. There will be an extreme metal show on Friday which is local and one on Wednesday which will stream in Europe time. Including that, there is standard metal shows as well.

Cheers.

Is there any comments, apart from ones about grammatical misdemeanors?
As of recent we already have thousands of followers worldwide, not including australia. We are in communication with minor and major record labels. Once again, we do pay royalties and are setting up interviews so anyone who wishes to promote their music, feel free to send us your tunes for AirPlay. Otherwise it will be impossible for us to play local tunes, having not obtained them for our database.

In fact, there will be true black metal being played. We have set extreme metal shows for loca, Asian and European audiences in set time zones.

Recording doesn't need to be immaculate, man. Good quality is enough.

If you have a professionally recorded, mixed and mastered EP or Album and want to have your band?s music played on The Pit FM follow the instructions below.

Important: No demos unless your music is ridiculously fucking good. If you are unsure about this get a second opinion from someone who wont piss in your pocket. This isn't about us being pricks, we want to support upcoming bands, but we just don't want to waste your time or ours. A lot of people will potentially hear you on The Pit FM and you want them to hear you at your best.

Im more black metal based though, around the lines of Shagrath.
Got highs, mids, lows, inwards, shreaks and gutteral growls......

Why do you keep saying "jest"? It's not like you're mis-spelling a complex word like "excogitate", or "sesquipedalian" for example. It's fairly comparable in complexity to words such as "if" and "but".

my spelling and grammer is Avant-garde to ahed of its time for you guys to understand ,everyone will be spelling like this in 10 years .. im jest a bit more in with it than you guys are

No, sorry to break it to you, but, nobody will be spelling like this is ten years time. Maybe illiterate douchebags.....but that's about it :P

So errrr appparently according to multiple sources (not sure if this is true) but primea band have pulled out which is dreadfully unfortunate because I was looking forward to seeing them.  Set list times remain the same...

looking forward to having some real fun up on the stage tonight and playing fast dissonant music I hope you can make it!

Unfortunatley, the sources were correct. PRIMEA are unable to play due to unfortunate circumstances that cannot be helped.
The set list times still remain the same.
