Cathedral is in same slot I originally saw but Paradise Lost have been moved to a slightly earlier slot. Unless I'm getting an old timetable??
I'm seeing Cathedral @ 5.20-6pm and Paradise Lost are now 3.20-4pm
That's the only change I've noticed in bands I'm going to.

Ah right, that must be it. All I saw was that Paraside Lost and Cathedral were no longer back to back.

Looks like the timetable has changed, with Cathedral being pushed back a slot. Not sure what the other changes are yet, haven't looked to closely.

They're playing awfully early, 11:20am or something. :/

I'd love to hear them play some of their new songs.

You trolling?

Only a little. While Khaos Legions wasn't amazing, there were some nice songs on it still. "No Gods, No Masters" would be interesting to see live alongside their old classics.

They've been to Perth plenty of times in the past, why not now?

I'd love to hear them play some of their new songs.

General discussion / Re: ANONYMOUS - Operation Black March
« on: February 14, 2012, 05:12:56 AM »
As for the occupy protesters in Aus I don't really know what most of them are complaining about, while the Australian govt has some issues we don't have any problems compared to what the US is going through.

Yeah, this is very true. Sure, we have plenty of problems here in Australia, but no matter how much we complain about our politicians, they still look bloody stellar in comparison to what America has.

My concern about this proposed "Black March" would be that damage it could do to small retail stores. While I doubt the plan will come to fruition, the only people who would be hurt by such action would be small business, not the major corporations.

That's a real shame, I've got some very fond memories of coming down and hanging with you guys in the studio. Thanks for all your hard work over the years, you put on a great show!

Paradise Lost AND Cathedral?

Well, that just pushed me over the edge, I'm going to go order my ticket right now.

WA Gigs / Place holder - June 29th

G'day folks, just making a place holder thread for the 29th of June. Got something in the pipe-line for this night.

General discussion / What do you want to see at a gig?
« on: December 02, 2011, 10:09:03 PM »
What would make a gig special for you? Does the line-up make a big difference, or is the venue more important? Would a raffle entice you, or a free sausage sizzle perhaps? A stand-up comedian or fire breathing?

What makes you pick one gig over another?

13
"Jest"?  Really?  :err:

Surely you jest?

It's going to be a great night!

Wasn't on the main page, had to do a search for the venue.

Wow Sins of the father kicked ass, well deserved though, they are a great band

Very true, great works guys!

Cathedral in the second announcement :D

Just read that myself  ;D

I think it's going to be worthwhile after all.

That's a shame.  Sins improved exponential over the last 2 years, I had thought that much of that improvement was attributable to Jack's frontman abilities.

You'll be missed Jack, you've really made a mark on the scene.

Not long to go now, looking forward to seeing Katabasis live myself.

Boggling they decided to post this on a WA website as well, unless they are gauging the level of response, wink wink.

I'd pay money just to see Ruins again.

How was the setlist? A bit of everything?

In Sydney, without going back and checking, they played at least one song from every album, except Forgotten Tales. A really good mix of old and new.

Well, that was one of the best shows I've ever been too. Blind Guardian are absobloodylutely fantastic, and the crowd could not have been more responsive. Well worth flying over East for.

Fuckin awesome gig, only shit thing was the lack of / slow ass bar staff

I recon the establishment underestimated how many people would turn up. I'd be interested to know how many glasses they had to replace  :P

Bloody awesome night, absolutely fantastic. Once again, Dysie and Brad have set the standard.
