It says 09 on all the questions, you should probably change that.

Meh. I take alot of the internet not-so-seriously. I mainly go to other forums anyway where everyone knows that the whole tough guy act over the internet "I'll bash you cunt in real life" doesn't work, and insult and abuse is all in good fun and easily forgotten. Mind you most of the members have at least known each other for a few years, even if it's just over the internet.

erectionhole (or whatever that fucking name is supposed to say): I'm so rarely serious on here it would terrify you. CHILL YOU TO YOUR FUCKING BONES, SON.

I do miss the days where people wanted to beat my face in for random and unnecessary remarks I forgot practically as I typed them, but at the same time, at least my nose is mostly in tact.

SOD: I love you too. Nosaj just gives me too many opportunities to ignore them all.

;D It's a song by Demilich, Erecshyrinol. Erectionhole is fine as well.

Almost every forum I go to has a fair number of trolls, they eventually get weeded out by mods or run out of material. The not so serious forumers leave pretty quickly as well. But often the regulars who frequent the forums like to muck around with each other as well, it's all in good fun and no harms done because everyone knows that the internet isn't serious. I've been lurking on these forums ever since I was 14 or 15 (I'm 24 now) even before I joined a band, mainly to want to check out local gigs back in those days before I could go to the over 18 ones. I also have Daz to thank for upkeeping this website and forum, because otherwise... my band wouldn't have found a bassist.

One of the reasons trolls come around every so often is because they know that they can get a rise out of people. That is what they do, and the reason why Nihilist stays is because no one takes him seriously anymore. Everyone's used to his crap, and often take it tongue-in-cheek (as serious as he ever may be). Don't want to deal with trolls, don't feed em... or just fuck around with the novelty of someone like that around until the mods boot them. They don't care if you chuck a hissy fit, they probably find it even funnier. It's the internet people, threatening people on a forum with physical violence is stupid.

Pretty good stuff, it's the sort of music that didn't really click with me easily. I've got Opportunistic Thieves of Spring and The Corpse of Rebirth.

Yeah I've heard the album in all its entirety a few times. There are a couple of okay songs, but overall just not a fan.

A bloody good band that receives very little credit. Definitely going to be there.  :headbang:

This album is fucking shit. I hope Morbid Angel have massive troll faces releasing this thing, else I'm going to cry like a little bitch.

Sound Advice / Re: Peavey 6505+
« on: June 01, 2011, 07:55:24 PM »
This was one of my favourite pieces of gear before I had the chance to trade it in + a little bit of cash for my Framus Cobra.

As with all stacks, a good live amp is never great in the bedroom levels(unless your bedroom is the size of a live venue). You'll need to crank it quite abit to be able to get a decent sound.

Make sure that your pre-gain is not more than 7 like goat said, as this'll make your tone fizzy and fairly thin. Play around with the EQ, post-gain is your volume channel. And make sure that you're using the lead channel (not the crunch, even though with the right settings and overdrive pedal you could possibly get a good enough heavy rock tone with it, but we're talking about br00tal deth metuhlz here). When I was using this amp, I was actually running through an Ibanez TS9 tube screamer modded by analog man although the amp is already beast enough without an overdrive pedal. All the overdrive pedal does is merely tighten the bottom end abit, but not add to the gain.

I'm pretty sure my live settings on the 6505+ were as follows:
*red(lead) channel*
pregain: 6.5 low: 4 mids: 7.5 high: 6 presence: 7 resonance: 5 post-gain: 3.5
and through my TS9 (optional):
Drive: 2 Tone: 5 level: 8

Also, what cab are you running through? Cabs really shouldn't that much of a difference but they still do. I was running mine through a Marshall 1960A cab with Celestion GT12-75 speakers back then which was pretty versatile and had plenty of low end.

edit: Given the chance in the future when I have my own place and alot more money, I'd buy a 6505 just for the hell of it. Fucking great amps for metal.

oooh, sounds awesome. :)

KHARIOT will have our cd, Disymposium, and shirts for sale.
Its a good CD

Why thank you kind sir!

I'm definitely going. I'm a huge fan of Nevermore, especially Loomis' playing. I'll buy a ticket when I have the money. I'm not a big fan of the new album though, their past efforts are infinitely better.

18
Thanks to all who came. Overall a pretty awesome night!  :headbang: Spewin', I wanted to give that chick in black with the fringe swaying to our odd time signatures in our instrumental, a copy of our album but she left before I got the chance to! haha. Thanks to Nexus, Sins of the Father and Befallen for putting up some great music and playing alongside us.

19
It's in the backroom.  :D

20
Very possibly. Who knows, it's hard to trace this sort of stuff. Who knows? Could be good publicity?  :-X

I've got the night off work so I'll be rockin up. I'll be bringing my cousin down who's never been to a metal gig before as well. I also live fairly close to Freo, so I'll be meeting you chaps there.

if you look at the home page of the western front..it has been clearly on the front page top right hand side since october 2010 under upcoming events.

My bad, I don't visit any other page apart from the forums here.
