As a person - Dio
As a singer - Ozzy

that's a surprise ...  how the hell?

to be more clear, I prefer Ozzy's lyrics and the songs they wrote during the Ozzy era.... but Dio is a better singer. Actually watched some Rainbow last night. That was AWESOME! Ritchie Blackmore can surely shred by the way.

So did you accidentally get them wrong the first time? Cos it sounds like you mean Dio as a better singer, Ozzy as a person by your description

That email must be old because, in the US at least, they've started labelling themselves as Kentucky Fried Chicken again.

http://www.snopes.com/lost/kfc.asp

Oh yeah, I just remembered they had that massive campaign not that long ago about how they only use fresh Steggles or Ingham or whatever the fuck or both and I'm fairly sure they mentioned chicken repeatedly in those ads.

And furthermore I just realised the whole notion of KFC having their own farms breeding mutant chicken is fucking ridiculous.

I like the way conspiracy theorists criticise people for blindly following the goevernment but then see a couple of docos and read the blog of some nutjob in his basement with tinfoil on his head and feel like they're enlightened.

Flouride is added to the water supply to dumb us down and make us more passive.

funny you say that actually...back in SA where i was born, most kids took Flouride tablets between 4 and 7 years of age cos of te lack of it in the water supply...came over to Aus and we were informed to stop cos of the high levels already in the water...

Ironically, if they weren't already pacified by the pills they probably would have refused.

I dunno, all I do is listen to an album and if I want to listen to it again, I figure I must like it.

I think metal fans, as a general rule, tend to spend too much time analysing what's "good" and "bad" about a band, rather than just listening to it and having an instinctive reaction.

I'm not gonna claim not to be guilty myself but when I first listened to this album, before I knew what haircuts they had or clothes they wore, before rating how "happy" it sounded or wondering what other bands they might sound like, before judging it's originality on a scale of Opeth to Trivium, I thought it kicked arse.

The chances of perth getting a Devin sideshow would be pretty minimal judging on previous Soundwaves - did we get any this year???

Anyway, if he's half as good as he was when he played at Metro Freo he's worth the admission price alone. I'm definitely going now. ...unless there's a sideshow.

To reiterate, Dave Mustaine is a worthless cunt. He should start a band with Mike Patton and call it WE'RE SO SHIT IT MAKES YOU WANT TO FUCKING DIE.

Bit wordy

Looks they've found a replacement :

Quote
SLAYER has recruited Gary Holt (pictured below) from veteran San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS to be SLAYER's guest guitarist, temporary filling in for Jeff Hanneman who is currently recovering from surgery. Holt will immediately join Tom Araya (bass, vocals), Kerry King (guitar) and Dave Lombardo (drums) for their five-date Australian Soundwave Festival tour that begins February 26.

Hanneman underwent emergency surgery on his right arm late last month after contracting a serious infection, possibly caused by a spider bite. He is now recuperating at home and is expected to make a full recovery. He will return to the SLAYER lineup as soon as he has fully recovered.

While Hanneman's doctors were not able to definitively identify the infection's origin, they diagnosed necrotizing fasciitis, an infection caused by bacteria. According to WebMD, necrotizing fasciitis can destroy skin, fat, and the tissue covering the muscles. The disease sometimes is called "flesh-eating" bacteria.

"Jeff is our brother, we've all been friends and together as a band for almost 30 years," said Araya, "so we just want him to completely recover as soon as possible."

"After everything that happened last year," King added, "we all agreed that we just can't let our fans down again," referring to Araya's severe back and neck pain that prompted his January 2010 surgery, unfortunately leading to the band's postponement or cancellation of numerous shows in 2009 and 2010. "Jeff is totally on board with this decision, so we will tour as planned. At this point, we can't pinpoint exactly what day he'll be back, but he'll be back as soon as he possibly can. And we can't wait for Jeff to get better and get his ass back on the road."

The thing is, due to the size of the universe and the laws of probability I believe aliens probably do exist.

But if all there is aliens with the power to make it to Earth and all they're doing is hovering around us in big balls of lightning or secretly integrating into society they're obviously a bunch of weirdos and I'm happy to continue ignoring them in favour of the much more interesting aliens on tv.
