Great idea Clay.

Just a suggestion for the mag. Maybe include old flyers of gigs aswell. I've got a box load of gigs going back to 95 or so and I'm sure everyones got a shitload of others. Would be good to throw them in to get an overall feel of the times and bands.

Hell yeah. Clay you champ. Been too long between drinks.

Great photos, they sure are the early days of Perth metal after Allegiance.

Got anymore of the Enforce ones. Never managed to get any due to various states of toxicity.

Still got copies of all the fanzines you did aswell. Man i miss those most of all.

Take care man. :headbang:

I can still remember that brawl after the album launch with that Lebo gang.

:headbang: Yeah, that was good fun. What a bunch of idiots.

Is that you Dustin. I thought I smelt something weird. How the fuck are ya? 8)

Man, really starting to show my age now, but, holy shit Jez. Lian was the one who booked my first ever gigs. If she kept all the demos, yeah she should have one.

Jez, keep up the good work mate.

Its good to revist the some forgotten music.

Does anyone remember Detritus, and if so, anyone got their demo? Would love a copy. Was good friends with the drummer for a while. I know his brother, Matt Chequer now plays drums for Little Birdy and the guitarist Fergus, was fill in for Eskimoe Joe. He he, funny to think they used to shed it up at parties playing Sepultura and Pantera covers.

Fuck, I remember them. Long time ago, in a reality, far far away from this current one.

There's some great ideas in here, but I think the bottom line is persistence. Keep doing what your doing and the name of a band starts to spread around. Its not just a venue issue. I remember doing gigs with just the bands and the girlfriends looking on way back when the metal scene was virtually non existant for any band other than Allegiance. But you kept playing every week, every chance, coz its what you love doing and people can see that when you play. Advertising is the only way to reach heaps of people that you usually wouldn't. For the Pathogen Demo launch at the Raffles in 97, we made these massive, massive posters, glued them on boards and strung them to light posts on the major roads all around Perth. Heaps of randoms came down for the show. Remember not everyone reads Drum Media or Xpress so the more posters, the better. Time consuming, yes, worth it, yes.

All I got for now.

I saw it a while back and i thought it was great, not because i believed everything in it but it made for good, thought provoking t.v..
The 9/11 attacks breakdown was some of the most compelling shit ive ever seen, and given the 'evidence' from the attacks i see it more plausible than what the media or goverment was telling us. Therefore im sold. That, plus i love a good conspiracy theory :D
Also 'The Venus Project' is a fucking cool alternative to living life in another way, sure it'll probably never happen but what if it did? hm? think about it......

Exactly,

But what got me, was the fact all that all the subject matter they went through, albeit, some a little sketchy, was to get to the point of: if the goverments and institutions we put in power are prepared to go to those lengths to do their will, then whats to stop them putting those little chips in each and every one of us? Verichips I think they were called. Used to store vital medical data for patients at the moment, but in the wrong hands, whamo, instant information about everyone, anytime anywhere for the use of........well, anything. Ultimate control.

Some will love the fact they can buy thier food, shoes and anything else without using much effort. But, for me, FUCK THAT. I'd go down fighting that one.

Wow. ???

I didn't make the film guys. I watched it, thought there was some interesting points raised in it and decided to see what others thought. I didn't tell anyone to change their beliefs, just asked why some responded to it the way they did as a matter of curiosity. Some of you assume way to much.

As for the typo, so fucking what.

So??
We don?t live in a world where banks control our money.
There?s no current war going on for profit or ever has been.
And, best of all, Jesus Christ was the Son of God and died for all our sins??.

Phew, thought I was in a bad dream there. Yup the film is full of shit, with no valid points or arguments worth mentioning. What was I thinking?
C'mon,

Well worth it if you like this type of info to fuel a hatred for the type of world we now live in.
Yeah, because its better to learn to hate the world than actually contribute something to it...

Life needed.

Never said "hate the world". But, the "type" of world we live in, meaning the way Western society is heading we wont last long on this planet. If we dont change our greedy capatilistic ways then we will probaly consume ourselves. 'Life needed', absolutelty. If you watched it before commenting you might have realised thats exactly what they are trying to do.

WarNick - Qe? ;D

DamoESP -  :hmm:

That video is just as full of shit as anything the government tells us. It tells you not to believe the government blindly yet expects you listen to it's obvious lies.

Please explain why its full of shit? I don't think the movie is asking you to blindly follow what its saying, merely trying to open peoples eyes to a world they might not yet have considered before. What obvious lies are there?

For those that are interested.

Watch this documentry on how we live in a world based all upon lies and manipulation from the powers that be. From Christianity to the so called 9/11 'attacks' to the Fedral Reserve bank and how it all boils down to controlling the masses and making money.

Watch this link if if you have a spare 2hrs. Well worth it if you like this type of info to fuel a hatred for the type of world we now live in.

Well its been a while since I've been here, but what better place to start.

First local gig was at the Grovener Backroom ( I think It was called Club Original back then) 1994 to see Allegiance, SFD, Sufferance and probably Faces of death. Ahhh, them were the days. I think it was the same one you went to SOD, I remember your ugly mug popping up around then.

As for local all time Fav's:
Samain
Allegiance
Choke
