omfgggggggggggggg

They're playing in Adelaide and not Perth?  AAAARGH such short notice!

OMFGGGGGGGGGGGGG
I saw Dennis typing stuff about this tour very early this year. I'm really bummed they're not coming to Perth... Have to book more flights now.

I can think of a fair few hardcore Macabre fans in Perth, too.

When I was a boy, heavy metal t-shirts didn't need 1000's of colours and massive over-sized prints *removes false teeth*

Seriously though, the new line of Napalm Death shirts is wiggedy-whack!!  :err:

                                            Downer - Grater Scrape
                                                        1994

Killer album! Still one of my top Perth metal bands ever.... 'Swell' was amazing too. I wish they'd do a re-union or something.

Please make this available in a monophonic tone for my less than poncey mobile.
Is it a Nokia? Go in to 'composer' mode and just mash the keypad with your tongue/breast or whatever you like.... it should sound about right!!  ;)

Yes please!! :)

I have Allegiance cd's. I even have a video somewhere.

I have a signed Allegiance 'Studio Live' cassette... I think I might use it in my answering machine...
I also have a Thrash Aunty t-shirt, but I am kinda fond of that because it was my birthday the day of that gig and I had a pretty good time at the show.

He not that underrated, is he? I thought just about every tech-death fan wets their pants over his OTT double kick speed?
Maybe you just meant underatted in the drumming world in general :)

Loving Pete was like loving the dead (was like fucking the dead)*   ;)

*Not joke at Pete's expense.... rather a tribute to his lyrical genius!!

Oh yeah.... buff photos; that's a waaaay better way to remember him rather than listening to all the fantastic, mind-blowing music he made during his life.

This was done about 10 years ago by Danny Estrin and Clayton (original WF 'inventor').
The other old folks here should have a copy at home somewhere  8)
Still got mine  ;) Now.... nap time!!

I went to TAFE with Caddis' drummer, Stu (fucking great guy!), and recorded some stuff for them. They certainly were in to a lot of types of metal; the whole band.
Appart from the bands you mentioned, I think Deftones was one of their biggest influences, also. Ohh... I also recorded the sub bass-drops on the "Use only..." cd  :P

It is soooooooooooooooooooo cute when blackmetal bands have Myspace.

Uh, Care to list a few kick arse deathmetal bands who don't have a myspace, do you?  :P

The thing I liked most about this album is reviewing it.  The boys from Cuntscrape have created something so twisted and unethical that the nastier I write about them, the better the review.
That's awesome man... Very tasty review :)
By the way, in case anyone's interested, Fleshlight is an interpretation of a great song by 1970's band, Parliament http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_FsIt8wDhA

I can't believe I'm hearing this! Metalers complaining about metal being too fast! Next thing you'll be complaining local metal is to loud or heavy!!
I don't really "complain" about it.... but think some bands have gotten too fast... too technical. It's lost the "human" element.
Of course, it's played by extraordinarily talented humans, don't get me wrong, but I presonally don't want to sit down and have a maths lesson thrust into my ears at 280bpm. Boring. Wanky. Annoying.
Give me classic 90's death metal any day over prodigious sweep picking, gravity blasting, pristine-produced tech-deathmetal.
Earlier deathmetal bands wrote good, memorable songs. Many newer bands blow them out of the water with musical proficiency, but it depends what you want to take away from the music at the end of the day.

I also think this is an awesome album cover.

Best of the heavier metal covers for sure. When we hung out with Trevor the day after the last show, he was telling us how they came across the art work and the whole story about how they snapped it up.
I read a book which told the story of how Roadrunner bought that piece to have as stock art for an album, and it was promised to Sepultura for BTR album (hence Igor's sleeve tatt of the eyeball).... then they threw a curve ball and chucked it on Obituary's album. Probably suites the Obituary album better, in terms of matching image with sound. Igor must have been pissed, though, at the time!!

48
Hurr hurr... youse guys are funny, aye.

49
All the Michael Whelan painted album covers are fucking awesome! Beneath the Remains would have to be my pick for the best looking Roadrunner sleeve.
And the Type-0 Bloody Kisses cover rules.... but not the censored one. I want TONGUE!

Don't be a poonce, be tr00 and make one out of batteries!
Awesome Sepultura style!
