We're leaving on Sunday!
The lineup isn't as great as everyone was hoping (and now Anthrax have pulled out too, given that they've just fired singer number 4) but I'm still pretty pumped. Amon Amarth, In Flames, Heaven and Hell, Napalm Death... Tom Gabriel Warrior is doing a song with Sarke... Motorhead... should be epic. And of course, Mambo Kurt
Anyone else making the trip?

That really sucks. My partner has permanent tinnitus from an ear infection a few years back and it's only because we're really careful about wearing plugs that it's not gotten any worse.
Does anyone know if you can get Hearos anywhere locally? I've been buying a whole heap once a year or so online but local would be more convenient. I saw some once at Kosmic ages ago for $25 a pair... they're like US $2.95 each online, but the shipping is killer.

ROFL you mean it isn't always like this? I signed up sometime in 2006 but never ended up visiting much - I seem to remember it was pretty dead for a while. The last few days have been tres amusing

Hahaha... yeah, I love that song and hate it at the same time. Hate is because WTF is MegaDave doing a duet with a chick for? Especially one from a band that's getting poppier and poppier with every release. But love it because OMG it's MegaDave and you can sing along and yes, it's awesome.

How fucking good were Megadeth? MegaDave is a legend. I loved the fact that three quarters of the crowd were singing along, knew all the words to every song.

Metro City has that awesome massive fucking stage... such a shame it's normally wasted. On the whole though it seems pretty run down - that whole ATM thing was a joke, I bet they could have doubled their bar takings if people had ready access to cash. And what's with the floor in there? Yuck.
