Not particularly.  Just tired from working a lot of hours and not inclined to suffer fools.

New Years plans are under way anyway, and I think it is just gonna be a bunch of mates at my place.  Like a copy of last year but on a reasonable, manageable and enjoyable scale.

Sucks to be old.

Is it really that hard to find something to do?

Nope, I have got heaps of potential options, and lots of expendable income to waste, being old and all.

Going nuts with my mates is a given, but I had thought that since we could party anywhere, why not do it where my peers in the metal scene are gonna be?

Shit, but then why should I explain myself to you when I don't want to drink with you anyway?

I guess I'll have to have a pissup at my place.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha like fuck.   :D

But seriously, I gotta make plans or I will get stuck home babysitting while the lady goes out.

There is no set metal venue brother, we just wash up on whatever shore has metal gigs playing.  That said, there are venues where Metal is common enough that you have a high chance of checking out some Perthy Metal in flight.  And on the rare nights that there is nothing on, most of us tend to cluster at the Rocket Room in the City, its always accommodating to the BlackShirtBrigade.

I could be wrong here. But didn't Kin mix Techno/Electronic with Metal?  That'd be when Jez was playing Keyboards.
I never did get to see Kin with Jez on Keys. Just Dylan,Pete,Andy and the Pineapple. ;D

Yeah sorta.  We used some dance-ish programmed sequences to bring in the songs "Sewerside" and "Hail to the Freek" and used saw wave sounds in other songs here and there.  But it was never about making it more electrical, only to make the heavy riffs heavier still in contrast.

I would be interested in hearing what it is you are laying down.

That answer was incorrect.
Your punishment is being the sort of person who sits in a Dark Room Listening to shining by candle light fapping and cutting wrists.

So there is nothing official booked for new years on WF?  Well, that's just peachy.

Oh no, this topic was so I could find out where OTHER people are going to be trashing OTHER people's homes that night.
You can count my place out of any plans, I have spent close to $50 000 on it this year and I'll be fucked if I am letting you pack of heathens in to demolish it.   ::)

I nominate Big Mak's place, he has a pool now.   Or Uncle Dysons.   Or maybe we return to the Kexby Street Manor for one more night and attempt to put it out of its misery in a big way.

Surely after last year you've been planning the next one for 12 months!

Oh, indeed not.

There is indeed.  Pete Farsic (I think that's right) of Kin would be the man.

Ahh.. I wouldn't say Jez is all talk but he isn't an aggressor. I've been with him when he's encountered non-reflectives on numerous occasions, and although he'll be quick to be mentally preparing himself for how to tackle a problem should it occur, and probably start glaring in an uninviting manner, he doesn't start on anyone else unprovoked.
He's just quicker to make it apparent with how he thinking about a situation, whereas the majority of people are thinking it, but are more timid about it. Sorry to spoil your rep there, Jezza  8)
Actually, you've got it pretty much right.  I never could work out why people automatically equate my intollerance of Human garbage with a wish to go out and bash them all.  Violence is normally a sign that you failed in causing them so much deeper pain with your mind.

As far as my dog goes, the old dog "Grinder" would go straight at intruders, but his replacement Bull Mastiff "Razor" will bark and snarl at the gate but tends to allow people into the yard.  He then circles them constantly while making these growling noises.  The jury is still out over how lethal he is gonna be as a guard dog when he reaches adulthood, but he can be very scary.

Back to the other topic, my Sister drives a Getz too.

Hence the difference between Aboriginals and Boongs.  I hate Boongs, they have earned every inch of my hate.  There could well be some abos out there who arent boongs, I would like to meet an aboriginal who wasn't a boong.

I would like a pet dragon too.

I debate the theory that out-of-town abos are good abos, I have plenty of mates who work out of town and they reckon that everywhere they go they have trouble with the locals.  They might not all be acting aggressively or stealing from you, and some aren't even drunk, but every single one of the pricks wants something for free and is happy to ask for it.  It is all harrassment, and nobody should be accosted by street beggars in this country.

Admittedly, the physical confrontations that DO happen are usually when they won't take no for an answer and it is MY mates throwing the punches.

I lost my CD.  I had it in the car, listened to it as I drive people all over town, and then bang, gone.  Only the slick remains.

From what I heard of it it was good.

I was run off the road on the Tonkin going 100+kmh a week or so ago, by a twit who couldn't be bothered to look to the right before changing lanes.  I came within a metre of wrapping my car around a concrete pillar, a very high chance it would have been killed.  The funny thing is that as I was overtaking him I saw that the whole side of his car was smashed in and I thought "this guy clearly has hit another car in the side, probably changing lanes".  The fact I was looking so closely at his car was the one thing that saved my arse, because I saw his side indicator flick on a second or two before he yanked into my lane, and I was already hitting the brakes as I swerved off the road into the sand.
When I caught up to the bloke I was angry enough tosmash him, but he seemed most apologetic and I decided to let it go.

I was not at all suprised that he was Asian.

The stereotype that all asians are shitty drivers has been created by the fact that there are SO fucking many bad asian drivers on the road.  Are they all shockers?  Oh course not.  But from my experience and the experience of most others, it is a stereotype based on a good chunk of fact.  It is SAFER to assume the Asian driver next to you is a danger than to let him kill you and only THEN accept that the stereotype is there for a reason.

So why is it so wrong to apply the same stereotype to Abos?  A vast percentage of the crime committed in this city is by them, and beating trhe shit out of people - and each other - is so commonplace in their culture that it is virtually a given that the aboriginal you see on the street is a fighter.  As my lady said today, if she sees a group of ANY guys coming towards her on a Saturday Night in Northbridge, she is automatically put on edge, but only abos inspire the same level of trepidation and instinctual dangerwhen confronted in broad daylight in the suburbs.  The logic behind this is that alcohol and drugs will make people in groups far more dangerous, and only a group of abos is likely to be shitfaced on piss or smashed on solvents at 10AM on a Tuesday morning.  Add to that the culture of parental neglect, defiance against authority and insulation from  prosecution, and you have an explosive cocktail just waiting for a match.  Any match.

It matters not one jot that the problem is caused by bad parenting, problems with piss and drugs and all the other excuses.  The reality is that the Stereotype exists for a reason, and no matter how hard we may try to deny it, it is safer to keep that stereotype in the front part of our brains.  It just might save your life one day.

Or don't.  You wanna get bashed its your business.
