Unfortunate clash I know, but this is not the first or last time a clash will happen. Both gigs should be awesome.

After a massive 2011, Tangled Thoughts of Leaving are poised to put the cue in the rack with their final headline show of the year. To say this has been a huge year for TToL would be massive understatement, with the release of their debut album "Deaden the Fields", their first national tour and two wins in the WAM Song of the Year awards. To finish it off in style, TToL have one last night of glory planned at Amplifier Bar on Friday November 25.

Very un-metal support comes from Wizard Sleeve, Mezzanine and The Moltens. Doors at 8pm, tickets on the door.

Bump. This weekend!

After a massive album launch at the Bakery last month, TToL are off on our maiden national tour in Aug/Sept.

To kick it off, we have a sweet little show at the Norfolk Basement. Not much metal on offer this time (we like to mix it up) but if you like math/post-rock, this should be fun.

Drowning Horse description no RC. Actually i don't think I've seen them so maybe they actually are real doom. (Pretty sure they're not)

Drowning Horse are an awesome band. Definitely soom form of doom. Very slow, incredibly heavy and intense vocals.

Can't wait to hear their double LP.

Western Australia / Noctis calling it a day - last show tonight

Not sure whether everyone is aware that Noctis have decided to part ways.

From: http://www.facebook.com/notes/noctis/this-is-goodbye/10150312041667994

"It is with great sadness that we announce that Noctis have made the difficult decision to part ways due to other musical commitments & a desire to individually take different paths musically.  This was not a decision made lightly, but one that is the best for us all musically and interpersonally. This news aside, we are all still thrilled and determined to have our debut double album ?Silent Atonement? released for you very soon and we are planning on making it a very special, personal and exclusive/limited item to add to your music collection. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, but we would like to take this time to thank everyone who has helped and supported us over the years, past members of the Noctis family for your part in shaping our music and history and lastly to all the fans for taking the time to listen to our music, come down to our shows and help spread the word of Noctis across the globe. This won?t be the end for the members of Noctis individually as music courses through our veins and is deep in our hearts. Keep your eyes peeled for happening of our current and new projects in the near future.

"Life?s Flame Dredged and Forged

Rocked in death?s sleepless hold

I seek out a way

I remember yesterday"

Much love: Daniel, Alex, Simone & Leonard"

This is sad news considering they have a double album coming up that sounds fucking good. Their last show will be TONIGHT at the Tangled Thoughts of Leaving album launch (at the Bakery in Northbridge). Happy to be sharing the stage with them one last time. Still sucks though!

TONIGHT!

Light show at the ready and epic set prepared.  :headbang:

14
Not entirely metal, but there are enough people here who dig TToL to post it up.

You can stream the whole album here: http://music.tangledthoughtsofleaving.com

We're launching it at The Bakery this Friday July 15, with Eleventh He Reaches London, Noctis and Opia. Looks like this will be the last Noctis show ever (or one of the last), as they are parting ways, sadly.

Deaden the Fields is one of the feature albums on RTR this week and has been getting a spin the last 3 weeks from Haugy on JJJ's The Racket. We'll be doing an East Coast Tour in September, followed by supporting Russian Circles back at the Bakery on September 17. Epic!

15
Only a couple of days left.

Word around is that this will be the LAST NOCTIS SHOW EVER.

Sad news, but you must come down early and help see them off.

8.25 - 9.00 Opia
9.20 - 10.00 Noctis
10.20 - 11.05 Eleventh He Reaches London
11.25 - 12.25 Tangled Thoughts of Leaving

Facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=125361017546899

16
It's now available for streaming in full from here: http://tangledthoughtsofleaving.bandcamp.com/album/deaden-the-fields

Tangled Thoughts of Leaving - 'Deaden the Fields' Album Launch

After a six year build up of over 100 shows and 3 EPs, Perth progressive rock quartet Tangled Thoughts of Leaving launch their debut album at the Bakery on Friday July 15 2011.

With 62 minutes of sound spread over 6 tracks, Deaden the Fields is epic, intense, technical and emotive - perfectly capturing the live show that Tangled Thoughts of Leaving have honed since their inception in 2004.

The album was recorded over a three month period in early 2011, in TToL?s own self-built studio an hour south-east of Perth. A studio of their own gave the band a chance to give every second of the release the treatment it deserved, and that attention to detail is evident in the final recordings.

The album launch promises to be a feast for both the ears and eyes, with an intense lighting and visual display set to accompany the unveiling of TToL?s new opus. Rounding out a huge lineup of Perth heavy music are Eleventh He Reaches London (their first show in 6 months!), Noctis and Opia.
