General discussion / anyone know anything about scooters?

I was going to put this in the "how to fix a scooter" section but couldnt find it today.

I got this scooter off a mate and was going to do some nasty things to it but, well, it doesnt work.
Anyone about that knows much about them?

When i turn the key i can hear the "injection check" buzzing, the indicators, horn and dash lights work, but it wont actually turn over.
The headlights dont work however.
Does anyone know if these things have a chip in them somewhere?
I cant get a freakin manual for it. cant even find the right one online.

the ezplayer pro that comes with it, is that where the loops are? i cant seem to find it anywhere after ive downloaded superior 2.0

Musician Connection / Project drummer required

Just seeing if there are any drummers available to do some project work.

I have a bass player, guitarist and vocalist atm. Probably looking at getting another guitarist a bit later.
Have ample and quality recording gear to get things going once we have some songs coming along.

Really looking for someone that can do some pretty mad shit (arent we all)
Influences are SYL, Psycroptic, all that kinda stuff.
would like to start working with a drummer straight off the bat, and then getting into the writing side of things once we get each others style/s.

At this stage its just for project work ie; a demo with a number of songs on it, and then just see how it pans out in the future.
So whether youre in band already and wanna do something on the side, or youre drummer looking to find something to work on, it would be good to hear from ya. Get your fingers in a few pies, it cant hurt to get your name out there.

ages between 25-40 would be good for us.

Iim getting another wierd thing happen, so i hope someone can throw some ideas at me about it. (not too hard though.)

i noticed that when im playing back in Cubase 4, the cursor isnt really over the spot that its supposed to be, which is fine i guess i dont care so much about that, but when i go into "midi map" it takes a while to load up.
it gives me the equivalent of the egg timer thing on windows, and that lasts, at first for about 10 to 15 secs.
never ever, has it done this before, now it does it every time, and even when i get outta that and use the "tempo track" it does the same thing.

its like the computer has latency just to do something! Much like a slow fuck computer with stuff all gig.

Can someone give me an idea here??
I put in some new ram about 3 months ago, so its got 4 gig, and i also upgraded Cubase 4 around then too. Not too long after this, i started getting the "audio droput" message and now this. the ram seems to be in fine enough as the compy recognizes it.
It just seems like it might crash at any moment, and we all know where that leads? when you havent saved the project for more than an hour or so. but lets not go there.
Its seems to be progressing.
LIke a diseeeease maaannn!
maybe a new computer flu?? A step up form the Y2K bug?

please.. some sort of remedy would be good, if poss.
I know Mac's dont have a defrag, so im stumped.

Is it worth trying?
which one would you slave off?
I have a JCM 2000 and 6505 here, JCM's only a 50 watter though. ive never tried slaving before. any comments would be good.

Sound Advice / question on guitar recording

just wondering what you think. when is a mic cable approaching too long, when micin a cab?

the prob im getting isnt bad but, the amp sound is rockin, and im using a 57 on the cab, mic placement is all good, but it doesnt seem to be tranfering from mic to compy as good as i'd like.  im using  "Joemeek twin Q" mic pre and running it pretty hard, but im just not getting the clarity/punch/presence that i would like. i guess its more response than anything.
not wondering if maybe i need to plug the mic lead into something else before it gets to the compy.
im not sure how long the mic (xlr) lead is. maybe 10 meters. the best i can come up with is, that somewhere between the cab and compy, it losses the punch.
oh yeah the guitars are double tracked and tight...ish.

comments would be cool. cheers.
