Fuck me, Rammstein were insane.

I heard they set some kid on fire? And by kid, I mean idiot who thought it would be fun to try and get on stage with them.

Pretty sure he was just writing an article that would sell some magazines thanks to manufactured controversy.

Killjoy.

You are right though, as their #2 Un-Australian of the Year was Julia Gillard.

103
Much better than Zoo nominating Assange as "UnAustralian of the Year"

Those scanners have acheived exactly nothing in the US. Nothing positive anyway.

WA Gigs / Re: March 25th - Metal Party Bus - Tickets On Sale!
« on: January 30, 2011, 11:54:07 PM »
I do quite like the new website, although it's taking me quite a while to add everything back into it.

The tickets are on sale now, and the first lot will be mailed out early this week.

106
Excellent! Looking forward to it, if the new song One Door is anything to go by.

107
Good work, hope it goes well! How many people would you need to make it "worthwhile"?

forgive me for this ignorant statement, but where does the bus fit in, given the poster above?

Due to the limited number of bus seats, I haven't mentioned the bus on the print version of the poster. I'm only mentioning the party bus online, so that the regular crew get the first dibs on the seats.

Bus tickets are $25, and that gets you entry into the gig, and a FREE copy of Archaic's debut CD. If you want a ticket, send me a PM and I'll give you the payment details, or you can buy one through www.IronGuardianIndustries.com

Personally, I think Daz's post (which you deleted..............) said all that needed to be said.

I stilll think you're an alright bloke, but seriously, harden up mate.

Yeah, I tried to keep Daz's post. Deleting that one was an accident.

I'm working on the second point. Learning not to give a crap what you think is good practice ;)

The song "Destroyed. Forgotten." also has very minor, if not no Opeth influence either so I'm interested to know why it was way too Opethy for ya, DevolvedEmp! In fact, if any influence came through on "D.F" it would probably be that of Daylight Dies...
It's definitly not like any Opeth I've heard. Much more varied. Starts of with an interesting little intro bit, then the softer part, then the heavy bits, before changing it all up. The softer bits sound more like Katatonia than Opeth to me.

Noctis are really starting to sound like their own band these days. Sure there are plenty of bits thar "sound like" other bands, but overall, they've taken the combination and made it theirs.

He wrote a wonderfully mis-spelt letter to a paper about how he was going to force a bus off the road and gun down the kiddies as they came bounding out. In typical Zodiac fashion, it never eventuated.

Hmmm, that would be a great way to get the show some extra publicity.  :hmm:

The Zodiac Killer perhaps? I'm not sure

You even deleted your own thread in Site News about your censorship spree because I fucking grilled you in it.

I deleted it because I wrote it in anger, and upon reflection, unecessary. I don't get pissed off easily, but the constant crap over the last few days really pushed my buttons. The sheer amount of work that Daz has put into WF, doesn't merit the amount of crap that gets thrown towards the site. If he lets people do what they want, the complain. If he clamps down on things, they complain.

This thread is about Noctis. Not about Runn, or WF, but Noctis. It was easier to delete the crap, than to split it into a separate topic, especially when it had already spilled over from elsewhere.

Apologies for the gross violation to your freedom of speech. There was a complaint that the mods don't so enough to keep the peace, so here is one asking you to get back on topic....

This got lost in the cull, but I made a copy first, so the conversation could continue.
Anyway, back on topic...new Noctis tracks still plenty of Opeth worshipping, perhaps a little long-winded for the sake of being "prog"...maybe it's just the two tracks, but it appears to be a tiny bit "lighter" as there seems to be less death-roaring vocals too...good stuff though, look forward to hearing the finished product.

I'm really looking foward to the new Noctic release. Love the idea of a massive double ablum!

Other potential gig names to avoid:

Autopsy at the Amplifier
Satanic Slaughter at the Civic
Rhapsody at the Rocket Room
Best in the West

118
fuck yar...gig setlists etc  photos and other shit  :headbang:

I've got a program from the latest Alice Cooper tour. Looks just like the ones you get from high class theatrical productions. Would be quite difficult to come up with something like that for a smaller local gig... but it would be rather cool, especially for the larger events like long-awaited album launches and the WF metal awards nights.

119
programs...should sell em with the merch  :)

Hmmm, now there is an idea...  :hmm:

Poster is nearly done. I'm planning a door prize or two, and a "Heavy Metal Party" costume competition, to further add to the vibe.

I got a mint copy of Metallica's Jump In The Fire/Creeping Death EP on CD for $5. Shoulda seen the guys face when I told him what it was worth as I was walking out of the shop. :D

What a bargain! That's the kinda collectors item that most people can only afford after they win the Lotto.

123
yeah i got the thrush bang mania cd..in fact a  mate caught it and i weezed it off him...that glass, that was what caused that little altercation half way through?  fucking shitbag..who does that shit...funny the comment on it from the CTT guy (with the mad beard)

It think the glass made its enterance shortly after little altercation. However, from where I was standing there were two altercations. One involving nothing more than a bit of a push and shove, and the other involving someone who looked VERY drunk being pushed out of the room with his arm behind his back.

Claim The Throne showed the world that they're able to improvise under pressure and under the influence!

Cashies generally don't know what metal CDs are worth. I picked up a whole heap of Enslanved and Darkthrone for $4 each. Granted they're a little beat up, but at $4 that's what you'd expect.

125
So no MAYHEM then...

Heh, that was my first thought too when I saw the thread title :P
