and Jez mate, good black metal is good black metal, there is too many mediocre black metal bands and angsty "scene" kids in the world and they will all eventually fall by the way side and no one will remember them. Perth is pumping out some decent black metal bands and music with plenty of anger and aggresiveness at the moment and from what i can hear from these boys, From beyond, Labyrinth and Bereavement and the rest about to emerge the black metal perth scene is doing pretty well... FUCKING Support it!!!!. It doesnt matter if its Black, Death or whatever Stop being a bunch of metal fucking snobs and fucking support it!!!

To all you Dipshits who comlpian about declining numbers should maybe start suporting other local bands, not bashing them on this fucking site!!

sweeet, i can say theres nothing of his i dont like, some of his early demos and limited songs are fucking awesome. The bonus cd he did with All Reflections drained is still better than most cds released by 99% of the music population, so i cant wait to hear "Portal of Sorrow"

All reflections drained was a brilliant album, it was a different sound and atmosphere altogether.

Sucks hes gonna throw it in Xasthur is one of the handfull of bands i only listen and influenced by to anymore...

Xasthur is definatly one of the better DSBM (or whatever you want to call it) bands along with Striborg, Blut Aus Nord, Leviathan/Lurker of Chalice,... This news fucking sucks...

I remember when i first got into the local scene some 10 years ago now the gigs had pretty diverse line ups. I remember when Dave Lance was a promoter he'd throw on a hardcore or punkish band on the bill and people in that scene would show up, so you had people in the door and the bands had money in their pockets.

And Jez i remember meeting you in blockbuster in Morley about a year or so ago and you saw me in a marduk shirt, and you came strait over to me and gave me a copy of a Neverborn cd. I was fucking stoked by that and not having a copy of that cd (sorry) i pretty much played it to death and since been a fan !!
