Watain has been added to the lineup....

just because i ride a fixie bike , play synth and ware ray bands with no lenses does not mean i am a indie fag

jesus christ im not a hipster

No shit? You have a fixie? You just became the single most cool person I have ever had the pleasure of communicating with in an internet forum! Fixie's are awesome! Do you have big butterfly handle bars and mushroom grips? Sometimes, I like to sandwich a piece of an aluminium can between 2 pieces of cardboard, and use a clothes peg to clip it to the frame on my fixie so it just touches the spokes. It makes it sound a bit more like my Harley, it also helps my peeps hear me coming.

Maybe one day we can put our Ray bans on, and go for a burn on our fixies around to Bherstuk's house, get a synth jam going, (I can play the triangle with some conviction) and make him feel a bit better about himself. just between you and I, I think he may have some anger management and issues with his own sexuality, but keep that on the downlow because it might upset him. If we do go for this uber epic trip on our fixies, it will have to be later on, because I don't get released for another couple of months. ;)

That was terrible.

Awesome day all round, except for Slayer being on that shitty stage.

My only gripe is with the lack of bar staff and all bars running out of beer by 3pm, had extreme gutrot from premixes today, not so good.

Whoever chose the music between sets should realize not everyone wanks themselves to death over prog every minute of every day

From memory some of the bands that got played were Periphery, Sikth, Hacride, Memfis, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Barren Earth and Textures among others. Not exactly wanky prog there.

That was my doing :)

Looks they've found a replacement :

Quote
SLAYER has recruited Gary Holt (pictured below) from veteran San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS to be SLAYER's guest guitarist, temporary filling in for Jeff Hanneman who is currently recovering from surgery. Holt will immediately join Tom Araya (bass, vocals), Kerry King (guitar) and Dave Lombardo (drums) for their five-date Australian Soundwave Festival tour that begins February 26.

Hanneman underwent emergency surgery on his right arm late last month after contracting a serious infection, possibly caused by a spider bite. He is now recuperating at home and is expected to make a full recovery. He will return to the SLAYER lineup as soon as he has fully recovered.

While Hanneman's doctors were not able to definitively identify the infection's origin, they diagnosed necrotizing fasciitis, an infection caused by bacteria. According to WebMD, necrotizing fasciitis can destroy skin, fat, and the tissue covering the muscles. The disease sometimes is called "flesh-eating" bacteria.

"Jeff is our brother, we've all been friends and together as a band for almost 30 years," said Araya, "so we just want him to completely recover as soon as possible."

"After everything that happened last year," King added, "we all agreed that we just can't let our fans down again," referring to Araya's severe back and neck pain that prompted his January 2010 surgery, unfortunately leading to the band's postponement or cancellation of numerous shows in 2009 and 2010. "Jeff is totally on board with this decision, so we will tour as planned. At this point, we can't pinpoint exactly what day he'll be back, but he'll be back as soon as he possibly can. And we can't wait for Jeff to get better and get his ass back on the road."

I know some people have tried to do it at Republic before but there was some reason why they couldn't.
It would quite possibly have to do with ventilation/open flame issues having a BBQ indoors.

Hey, I asked about the sausage sizzle today. We can't do it because the Republic doesn't have a licence as a restaurant, only as a bar/club... Kind of lame. However, I can figure ways around that, it just wont be hot dogs, but could quite possibly be other hot food. Just need to find the right loop hole lol.

General discussion / Re: What is the best gaming news site?
« on: January 20, 2011, 06:35:47 AM »
99% of gaming sites have completely unreliable and extremely biased reviews. Basically, it's turning into the music industry.

Having said that, I'm struggling to understand all these serious answers to a spam thread though.

i guess world of warcraft is the black metal equivalent of the gaming community

what a joke?
