OMG yous guys are soooooooooo judgmental!

I bet no Perth guitarist can swing his guitar around like THAT guy!  And I bet no vocalist is as limber as THAT guy!

God, support local metal yous guys!!!!!!!!

The only complaint is that the clear substance (water) she uses is surprisingly flammable.

Support local metals!!

Your only problem there is that this isnt metal.

Youve got to realise that theres a difference between metal and fuck ass gaycore.

52
Well then I'm glad everyones in for a treat!

53
Well firstly, you look like a dick, because I'm not a member of Desolate, just a huge fan.

Secondly, if you ask me, the quality of the music is more important than how many studio cd's, band shirts, or pretty lights the band has. I was in no way disrespecting any of the other bands, just showing my support for one of, in my opinion Perth's best metal bands.

Pretty arse hole like of you to assume that the only people who would want Desolate to headline, are the actual members imo.

Well no I dont look like a dick, im just stating facts dude not assuming shit!  Personal opinions dont count when it comes to the music industry so no matter how good Desolates music may or may not be (ive never heard it before which is another reason why we gave them this opportunity to play this Saturday) they still have to record it to even think of getting anywhere.  Just like any other band that wishes to make it in the industry... How are people even in the next state going to know who your band is when they cant even listen to your music :S

I honestly thought that was common sense

54
Desolate should be headlining, in fact, they should headline every gig from now until the end of time.

Well when you guys start to organise the gigs yourselves then by all means you can choose to headline as many shows as you want!  What happens though when one of your support acts decides to blow you out of the water with an interesting display of on stage visuals not to mention as well that they've also got studio albums and t-shirts under their belts for people to buy and to top it all off the music is actually good?

When it comes time for your band to play and you've only got good music, your going to look quite unnatractive on that stage!

Hence LOGICALLY SPEAKING why Neverborn are headlining!

55
Seriously cant wait for this one any longer guys its such an awesome mash up of bands across the board and you always know the mighty Scrape are going to deliver in the antics department as well as the music department!

56
Sometimes I say shit that makes no sense to try and promote gigs,

You can see how well it works
If you dont come to this it just proves that your a musically defficient sissy that takes it up the arse from the likes of Panic at the Disco and Lady Gaga

then why are you going?

Because i've got to blow people ... yadda yadda yadda...  Because its all about making the fans happy now isnt it?

Im also going because the other bands playing are pretty boss too!  :headbang:
:cunning:

Mikey, this is the part where you don't take a joke, get all serious and start abusing people for not staying on topic, or misunderstanding your ramblings.
Happy birthday mate!
 ;D
No worries mate, was good to see you and have a chat at the GROUND and POUND the other night too... although like we were saying sucks there was no UFC footage on the projector :(

57
It was really great to come down and check out the GROUND and POUND on Friday night and if you didnt manage to make it then once again YOU FUCKEN MISSED OUT... The bands overall had a really great sound.   Agreed with what Rando said about Sins of the Father fucking ecclectic sound!  I can never get over as well how cool the Combined Death Toll masks look especially the Predator behind the drum kit and I was practically screaming like a little girl because I was that drunk off tequila shots (for which was the end result of next mornings horrendous hangover) and happy to get a free hat and key ring as presents for my birthday.

Although I was hungover and vomitting until like 4pm the next afternoon I'm glad I still managed to make it to the family dinner that night.

And once again it great too see all you fine people out there supporting Perth Metal, fuckin RESPECT!  But apart from that enjoy the rest of your weekends.

58
Hahaha Mikey you're always good for a laugh

Wow that means alot but I must really apologize for being a little too random this evening, you see its my 21st birthday tomorrow and for some reason the only feelings that I have right now are to eat myself silly with various fattening foods and then proceed to bash my face against a brick wall.  Does anyone share reasonably similiar comparison with me?  Or am I just fucked in the head?

59

60
Thanks for the quick reply... and sorry about the mix up I must of managed to confuse you something cronic by practically asking about the same place twice.

So I take it that the back room, or whatever the Den ISNT is more for your local cover band to get up and satisfy the crowd of elderly men in flanolete t-shirts and crunk off XXXX with Cold Chisel classics?

61
This gig looks awesome, some good bands on the bill and of coarse well organised as always Dysie... Just curious however, which one of you guys was the homosexual in the band?

No, no, no trust me im only kidding, my real question was how did you guys manage to book the front room at the Civic?  What are the obvious differences between the front room and the Den I dont think i've actually checked out the front room before?

And while im here in this post I may like to mention that a couple of months ago now at Val Machukat's(sp?) house who is of coarse one of the guitarists in band Nails of Imposition (to which I also have the greatest respect towards their music as well) actually whacked on some CuntScrape for me.  Very decent clear production, I wouldnt be surprised if it was recorded by Aiden... But only you could probably tell me that Dysie, it was the album cover with you all crossdressed in Nurses outfits? Ring any bells?

I may have to elaborate...

62
If you dont come to this it just proves that your a musically defficient sissy that takes it up the arse from the likes of Panic at the Disco and Lady Gaga

Okay so if you dont come to this gig it proves nothing, I would just really REALLY like to see you all there for the sake of Perth Metal and for all the awesome people out there that I know and would like to see again!

63
If you dont come to this it just proves that your a musically defficient sissy that takes it up the arse from the likes of Panic at the Disco and Lady Gaga

then why are you going?

Because i've got to blow people away on my drum kit with whacked out odd time signatures, zany syncopations and even metric modulations.  Who knows I just put in the order for a new batch of stickers with some new designs a couple of days ago so if all goes well in that department then some new Khariot STICKERS may be floating around... Once again you'll have to come down on the night and check it out!  Because its all about making the fans happy now isnt it?

Im also going because the other bands playing are pretty boss too!  :headbang:

Hells yeah I cant wait to play this show its so good that the Civic has re-opened for gigs.  I went there last night secondly to hand out fliers but also primarily to check out Thrust, Lacrymae, Noctis and Vespers Descent which were all pretty fucken tight bands and all the drum kits seemed to fit on the drum riser only just perfectly... keeping all this in mind along with the fact that my drum kits a wee bit bigger.

I also love the fact that you can get someone to control the lighting and the sounds also top notch... It didnt ring in my ears the whole night and people could actually understand what I was trying to say pretty much all the time and vice versa.  It just goes to show that you dont need to blast peoples ears off in order to get the bands to sound good!

Come to think of it now i've only actually played the Civic once and it was with my electronic kit which is of coarse about three times as smaller as my acoustic one, so this just got a whole lot more interesting for me in terms of trying to tetris my drum kit on stage.  Even still this is probably your best opportunity to come and check us out yet because the sound at the Civic will be the best that we've had so far... So tally-ho and onward with ya then!

Edit: And no unfortunately this wont be an album launch but DARKNESS COMPELLS YOU!!

66
And I believe that we will also be playing some cover songs... Including possibly an atheist song and a DIO song!  U'll have to come down and check it out though if you want more information.

67

Carryit kicked ass last night too. ;D

naww thanks mate... That statement warms 50 percent of the cockles within my heart.  took me a fair few times to understand and properly pronounce the word myself to tell you the honest truth, and at first I didnt even like it... But then I realised you've pretty much gotta be french or put on a french accent for it to roll off the tounge properly.  hopefully in time people will come to understand the true pronounciation but for now as long as people have an idea of who the band is and what the music sounds like then let the unrelenting apocalypse of the torment storm continue!  on another note drunk people with flano's are brutally hard to understand... Just givin you the heads up! (but at least one individual in particular of the sort knows how to say the band name now ;)! And he then spent a fair few minutes shouting it at passers-by) you can imagine an angry guy with a bald head and flanolette shirt yelling "KHARIOT!" at complete strangers walking by and then hed turn back to me and try to string together a sentence but he couldnt because he was to drunk.

68
so a special thanks goes out to all those people that could turn up to the event last night a great mix of metal t-shirts and flanolets, suprisingly those that chose to adorn themselves with flanolet shirts seemed to rock out harder.   Another heap of thanks needs to go out to the railway hotel for their support to the perth metal scene, one of the few venues at the moment that does my two favourite beers on tap... BeeZ NeeZ and Fat Yak.  it is always good to catch up with old friends and to know their doing well and for god sakes for all those people out their that havent picked up on our name yet its "KER" as in KERNAL and then "RIOT" at the end put 2 and 2 together and its just KA-RIOT respectively, alot of people were pronouncing it "Carryit".  But it was great to hand out so many flyers for the next shin-dig at the civic hotel on august the 28th for which im hoping you will all be apart of!  there is a forum post about it in the gig section so be sure to check it out. See you all again soon!

69
OH MY GOD ITS TONIGHT...

THAT MY HEARTS GOING TO BEAT OUT OF ITS CHEST!

Been practisin' drums everyday this week in preperation, and entirely changed my kit setup.  Good for blumlein, not that anyone without a recording engineers certificate would know what that is!

Khariot are gong to tear the stage apart  >:(

70
So today I managed to print off a load of flyers to anyone in any of the bands that are interested in gong to other metal gigs and handing em out.  I'm sure a couple of the boys in Mhorgl like Sam Moretta would be interested in doing this if not have their own copy's to hand out!

None the less if noone has flyers just get in touch with me on this forum and dont worry i'll keep checking back every day.  Its seriously time to start thinking about getting some people to this gig, I find it funny for Western Front to say that its in the forefront of the Perth Metal scene yet most metal heads in Perth have no idea what a 'Western-Front' is, or think its another one of those terrible 'before the game' type footy shows.

Do some more promotion Western Front... like hand out all my flyers for me or something!

Does it get exhausting defending your drummer all the time?

Yes.

LOLLLL!

I dreamt last night I had a muck around jam with Khariot on Bass, the wierd thing was that I was using my Ormsby Baritone as a bass.

It was fun.

And then I woke up.

Wow I dont know what to say (which is quite unusual for me because it makes me feel like i've stooped to the level of most of you CLEARLY not knowing what to say and how to meet certain criteria in conversation...)

I could stoop to the level of your average Joe WF poster in this case and post something similiar to, or, along the lines of 'Oh my god, go back to year 4 grammar class... you spelt the word dreamt wrong or some gay useless shit that no-ones gonna care about and is going to wonder why no-one replied to me'

After realising what conversation people respond to in everyday life im not going to attack your spelling skillz... (which others on this website pointlessly would)

And say wow, the subconscious mind is a beautiful thing isnt it?  I really hope you had fun playing with me in you dreams... Pardon the pun, if you've got your mind down in the gutter  :P

AND THAT I WANT THAT ORMSBY GUITAR RIGHT NOW!!

Mmm, did someone say Peanuts.  I love Peanuts!  Mainly Peanut Butter... (although they forgot to use a capital letter because a Peanut is of coarse... A THING!)

Does it get exhausting defending your drummer all the time?

Yes.

What the fuck, you dont even have a drummer, and that question wasnt directed at you?  ???

My FRIENDS (yes there more than just people who exist in a band that I exist in as well) wouldnt have to defend me if so many people on this website didnt jump to conclusions.

I love the new track guys and I love the Omnipitent Antipode film clip (especially the Sprite bottle).  Trev's drumming is really fast and amazing im glad we have one of you in Perth (as Catalyst or Jez pointed out)

Its good to see that some people understood what my posts where about... to people like Muscles who clearly is misinterpreting everything he reads, dont even try your mind is too basic for mine!

I already knew what to say anyway before my friends came on to elaborate about my prior comments (but a special thanks should be given to them), that just goes to show that my friends know who I am and that I DO mean well!

Once again good luck on tour Grotesque.  LOOK AFTER YOUR GEAR!!!
