Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore dead

Dead at 58: rock guitarist Gary Moore. (AFP : Marten Van Dijl )

Celebrated rock guitarist and former Thin Lizzy star Gary Moore has been found dead in a Spanish hotel room.

The Belfast-born musician was 58.

"It is with deep sorrow and regret that we have to announce that Gary Moore passed away while on holiday in Spain last night," a message on his official website said.

"Our thoughts are with his children, family and friends at this sad time."

A post-mortem is due to be carried out in the Spanish city of Malaga, the Irish Times website reports.

A Foreign Office spokeswoman in London said: "We are aware (of Moore's death), and we stand ready to provide consular assistance. We are very sorry for his family's loss."

Moore was just 16 years old when he moved from Belfast to Dublin in 1969 to join Skid Row.

Moore was later drafted into Irish rock band Thin Lizzy to replace the outgoing Eric Bell.

The band is best known for hit songs like Whiskey In The Jar and The Boys Are Back In Town.

"I still can't believe it," Bell told the BBC.

"He was so robust, he wasn't a rock casualty, he was a healthy guy.

"He was a superb player and a dedicated musician."

Moore started learning the guitar at eight years of age, and went on to forge a successful solo career in between his two stints in Thin Lizzy, collaborating with George Harrison, the Beach Boys and Ozzy Osbourne.

Original Thin Lizzy founding member Brian Downey paid tribute to his bandmate.

"I am in total shock," he said.

"He will always be in my thoughts and prayers and I just can't believe he is gone."

FUCKED.

In the US the TSA are basically 'pedos' and 'maulers'. What will it be like over here?

Boycott flying and hopefully the airlines will complain about low flight numbers and call for the scanners/maulers to be removed. Worked for Italy  :headbang:

Just as 9/11 was used by 'them' in order to have 'the war on terror' (TWOT) to secure the Iraqi oilfields and cultivate the heroin in Afghanistan, this Wikileaks saga is being used by 'the globalists' to finally take over full control of the Internet and it's censorship. Heard of 'Internet/Web 2.0' yet...?

The move to shut down and regulate the Internet under a new state-controlled system has accelerated into high gear with the announcement that the government's cybersecurity strategy is about to issue Internet users with ID tokens without which they will not be able to visit websites, the latest salvo against web freedom, combined with Senator Joe Lieberman's 'kill switch' bill, will serve to eviscerate free Internet as we know it.
Under the guise of 'cyber security', the government moves to discredit and close down existing Internet infrastructure in the hunt for a new, centralized, regulated the World Wide Web. It is important to emphasize that 'cybersecurity' has nothing to do with protecting the infrastructure in the U.S. and everything to do with taking over the Internet. Cyber Security is about to attack non-compliant Internet users, not defend against hackers.
Violations equivalent using the Internet as a political tool to dissent against the policies of the U.S. government. Have already tried and failed in flood the internet with paid disinformation agents, the government is now turning to his only way out, hyped or directly exploit cyberattacks staged as an excuse by deploying an Internet-2-system controlled and regulated solely by the authorities.

Why does the media concentrate on the messenger? The most important issues are the documents and info.

As employers of the politicians and assorted cocksuckers in power, we have every right to know what they are hiding so therefore:
FUCK THE GOVERNMENT BEFORE THEY FUCK YOU.

Not funny or remotely metal in any way, but I stumbled across this link: http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2010/08/russia_in_color_a_century_ago.html

Photographs of Russia from early last century that have been re-colorized to look like modern day photography.  Pretty cool.

Mad site! Should be more of them. Great to see Photoshop, Paint etc have finally been put to good use.
