PAPA ROACH CONFIRMED FOR GRASPOP!!!
Papa Roach!? How are they still alive!
Re: The Problem with Perth Metal
hahahahaha tix are $85 + bf.......................forget about it.That's a bargain mate!
We can't have two!
And theres already enough asians in the band
I just read the first paragraph of the first post. How the fuck did this make 8 pages??
I hope the answer is something to do with 'black metal vs death metal'
there's a fair few cat pictures in there to flesh it all out
who is this dickhead and how often does he actually go to local gigs??
the perth metal scene is going a hell of a lot better then some states of Australia and has had some great bands and still does e.g. Nexus,Wardaemonic,Naetu,Furor,Malignant Monster,Bereavement,Mhorgl which is more then a lot of other areas of Australia
Quantity is not quality, as is evident from the bands you just mentioned.
... and those shaker things with beer bottle tops (Cant remember what they're called)
Pretty average line up so far, but still early days
What the fuck kind of post is this.
Do what every real metalhead does, drink yourself into a depression and wallow in self pity.
Alternatively, don't announce your personal problems to a board of people who don't give a fuck like an attention seeking 12 year old.
Either way, shut the fuck up.
Well guys, due to popular demand (ok that might be a stretch but it is due to you guys and the response for the concept so far - yep, they are reading) and for Dyson passing on my contact details, I have been asked to be a judge for the Australian Metal Awards and I have accepted.
I am sure these awards will be a positive step ahead for the Australian metal music scene and I am glad to be able to do my part to help it out. Hopefully it will mean more exposure for all bands to other areas and to help get out the message of the high caliber of metal music being produced in Australia.
Oh fuck you smitty, FUCK YOU. You're attending aren't you, you smug cunt
i also think there should be judges on the panel who will also represent more of the 'heavy rock' kind of australian metal bands and not just the 'brutal' bands because there is a high number of bands in that type of scene that make up a large chunk of the australian metal scene.
Im not talking of bands like cog or mammal, but bands with that type of sound that are at a smaller, more local level who may not sound like psycroptic, but play at just as many local 'metal' gigs and consider themseves part of the metal scene.
it will also help for these awards to reach a wider audience if a lot of different styles of heavy music are represented.
What Viking bands do we have in Australia? I can only think of Screams of Chaos from back in the 90s.
Hammerfall confirmed for Wacken 09
