Fuck that game rocked! Next to the original Ninja Turtles!!! HOW THE FUCK YOU PLAY THESE GAMES CUUUNNNTSSS!!!!????

Totally agree Rod, both those games fucking RULED back in the day. I dont know how many coins I threw into each of them over the years. If I could have every single coin back from all the games I played over the years, I'd be half way to paying my mortgage off I reckon - but fuck that! I'd only have half a childhood! Wouldnt trade it for the world - or half a mortgage.
As for playing them, Ive got the Sega and Nintendo ones sussed, but cant figure out how to play the Arcade ones. Its just not working....and Im waiting for someone *points to Archangel accusingly* to send me the Emulator and Roms for them via email.

ATTENTION NERDS! Especially you Archangel. You seem to be the Emulator/Rom expert around here.....

How the fuck do I get a MAME emulator that will actually play the roms I want? I downloaded 1942, P.O.W, Kabal and a couple of other classic arcade games from yester-year and then tried about 6 different MAME Emulators (from romnation.net) and the emulators just come with a huge assed list of games, but it wont play any of them, and it wont play any of the ROMS I have downloaded. Its fucked. Its so much more simple with the Genesis or Master System ones.

U can like both, its ok.  Had better days with SF2 (at arcades) had better nights with MK, allnighters with loads of junkfood on school hols.

Its not like its Nintendo and Sega...now thats fuckin war

Definitely a Sega man through and through, but I had no quarms buying a N64 just so I could have Mario Kart. Mario sucks Yoshi's bell end, Sonic kicks ass (although Sonic is now Nintendo), but Mario Kart is the best of all of them.

I still cant get over the fact that Sonic went to Nintendo. Its like Holden using a Ford motor for fucks sake, Michael Jordan playing for the Knicks or Pistons, Kevin Sheedy coaching the Eagles. I just dont get it!

Whoa aborted hell yeah! Street Fighter II Turbo is the shit, got it on my SNES.  :)

Street Fighter 2 (any of them) is better than Mortal Kombat - Ive always said that, but I find hardly anyone actually agrees.

I dont think I have ever played or seen Surround. I not this game you speak of.
Anyway, all my consoles are in storage for the time being - and my boys arent playing them for many years to come! I want them to respect the console, treasure it, caress it, stroke it, loooove it, and most of all - NOT BREAK IT! Mind you them joypads were quite tough. No matter how hard you throw them, they seem to bounce straight back in tact - except the stupid N64 ones where that crappy little stick thing always goes limp. nothing worse than a flaccid stick.  :P

You know what was the best thing about the Amiga's?
You could plug Master system and mega drive controllers in and use them instead of joysticks.

Back in the old 386SX days I used to plug my Megadrive controller into the PC and use that to play. It was awesome!

Hey ur only 19 hey?  How did u get into amiga?  I only just was in commodore 64 at about 7-8.  I thought amiga preceeded that? Also i used to play some computer with a tape loader and a screen that only had a green and green screen, some of the games on that were Dracula's Castle, Loderunner, Bezerk, asteroids..pretty intense but i was really young.  Mr Upsidedown could tell u more, he was a bit older than me and my gaming idol.  When he conquered Gods we celebrated with cocoapops at 3am.  i think i was about 9

That wasnt an Amstrad was it? They were classic! I remember the good old Amstrad CPC464 from when I was about 8-10. Classic shit.

Im quite happy in my classic old school games cave thanks man. If I did buy a PS2/Xbox the only game I would get would be NBA Live 2006. I love the NBA Live series, and have played nearly every single one countless times from NBA Showdown '94 to NBA Live 2003 (PC). Ive got Showdown 94, live 95 and live 96 on Megadrive, live 97 on Saturn, Live 99 on N64, Live 01 and 03 on PC.

As far as old school PC games go, the entire Commander Keen (1-6, or maybe 7) and Duke Nukem 1-3 (before it went 3D first player, which was a direct rip off of Wolfenstein 3D), Captain Comic, Tank Wars, Hugo's House Of Horrors 1 & 2, Leisure Suit Larry 1-6, Catacombs and pretty much any sierra game where you have to type in the commands like "pick up pumpkin", "smash pumpkin", "pick up key", "unlock door", "open door" - and that was just to get into the house to start the game of Hugo's House Of Horrors.

And yes, Battle Toads would definitely be one of the hardest games I have ever clocked. Double Dragon was no walk in the park either. Mario Golf (N64) is quite fucking difficult and very time consuming - but I've done it 3 times now, and 2 of them not by choice....some dickhead (probably me) reset it somehow....twice!

Holy crap that is IMPRESSIVE!!

Do u have Surround on the Atari?  I think me and my relatives destroyed so many of this rubber joysticks with that game.

Battletoads was FRICKIN hard..well at least on NES it was.. kudos.

Are u a Madden fan? I need someone competitive to play on xbox.  My mates won't play that game with me anymore.

I love the madden games. But the latest one I have played is the Madden 64, which was about 98 I think. I dont have an Xbox, as you can see from my list - dont want one either, nor a Playstation or any of that crap. Complex games with mega graphics and sound dont do it for me. Im old school. The best game EVER, which one day I will possess in table version, is Galaga. Thats fucking expensive these days though - about $1200 is the cheapest I have seen it.

I've got a Sega Saturn with about 40 top condition, original, PAL games, and a Dreamcast who's sole purpose is to run my SNES emulator :)

Sega Game Gear (not working) w/3 games
Super Nintendo w/12 games
Nintendo 64 w/15 games
and the best.....
Atari 2600 original wood grain dash w/chrome switches w/20+ games

Best games that I have....(* = clocked game at least once)

You can download emulators from Romnation.net I have noticed....or at least I did, so I could play Chakken and Wonder Boy 2 : wonder Boy in Monster Land. My fave all time Master System game!

Chakken hey? If you have a ROM of it for the DGen, send it my way and I'll reply with a screen shot, no problems. Sega games fucking rock, but its much more fun playing it with the real console. I do have a heap of Megadrive ROMS (800+) but I'd rather dust off the old Megadrive and play it oldschool way. Sega Rally on the Saturn was my favourite drinking game though. Me and my mates used to tape down the accel button and just steer on unlimited laps/time and just carve up for hours upon hours, with the control in one hand and a beer or bong in the other, metal blaring, eyes blurry. Was fucking awesome fun.

Ahahah 3 nominations for Bentley.  ;D

Your area is wayy better than my part of it.

And Mago, Queen street is 2 streets away from my street, ahahahaha. That's where one of my mates got their house broken into. I'll have a look for the marks though.

Yeah man, right down the Albany Highway end. Horrible area at the time. I believe it has cleaned up a little bit over the years since I moved away, but I cant imagine it being a nice place ever.
Thinking back though, we were probably part of the reason the place had a bad name (apart from the obvious, slightly darker reason)  :P Bunch of metal heads, constantly drinking/partying, cranking the stereo and/or Marshall stacker, doing burnouts, and generally just running a muck. Not a week went by where we didnt have at least 1 night of 20+ people over getting smashed - and that was a quiet week!  :)

I was actually going to nominate Bentley. Lived in Bentley for a while a few years back, on Queen St right near the Albany highway. Had a fucking blast living with my mates. Parties 3 or 4 times a week without fail. Burnouts became a regular thing. In fact, if you drive down Queen St, right out the front of the Bentley Business centre is still remnants of my Commy. Pity the bastards knocked the house down when we had finished with it (and the one next door). now stands apartments or some shit. Anyway, as far as shitness goes, we had natives break in several times. Man, the stories I could tell. The worst was when a dude was ripping up the footpath ready to lay new concrete down when 2 coons (and I use that word to its fullest) somehow managed to steal his pick axe - and hit him in the HEAD with it. This was about 50m from our front door and we were inside getting shitfaced, none the wiser to what was going on til we went outside and saw ambulances, police, news crew and the likes covering our now blocked off street. Coincidentally that week we decided to move....to Carlisle  :-/
