Wouldnt it be a better idea to let people know the name of the headlining band in the last week?

Yes, it would be a good idea... but for practical reasons it's not possible just yet.

Still keeping that last band a secret  :eyebrows:

it better be Metallica!

They weren't available. Still waiting on Megadeth to get back to me.

nah, seen em. Maybe you could get Max to rejoin Sepultura and play nothing past Chaos AD. Yeah, I could live with that.

Wouldnt it be a better idea to let people know the name of the headlining band in the last week? Chances are some people may not see the announcement and you'll find people wont show up unless they really wanna see the other bands... Sad but true, you cant rely on people to rock up on the chance that there 'may' be a good band playing that night.

SOTF the mystery band eh?

Try putting a gig on with 2 weeks notice... then you'll understand the mystery. :p

Is it okay if I don't give a fuck about the mystery?
My hands are choking, my knife is broken.
An orgasm is what I need.
Your blood is spilling, the sight is thrilling.
To cum I need to see you bleed.

To promote a band aren't you supposed to let people know they are playing?

Nice work IGI  ???

"hey man want to do a gig for IGI?" reply from band "yeah man sounds good", "cool IGI will promote you by not telling anyone you're playing" band "sounds great"

Oi, shut up  :P

Just trying to make the most of a bad situation. Better than just outright canceling the gig anyway.

Yeah... if anyone is free that night that I haven't already asked, get in touch. Gave up on the theme already, any style will do. Never going to put on another gig with such short notice again...

Why don't you just have 3 bands play longer sets ?

I guess he's looking for a more 'well known' headliner.

I thought bands would jump at any chance to play live. Obviously not.

I'm sure MOST 'well know' bands do still jump at chances to play live
But most ESTABLISHED bands are 'beyond' the cas-Hole  8)

I.E. Primadonnas i.e. not in the true spirit of metal.

No difference between the Castle and the Rocket Room, except the Castle is in a better location and has more metal decor and atmosphere.

I don't think it's a Primadonna attitude, I just think after while you want to present your band as best as possible & venues such as the castle don't allow that.

Don't get me wrong I have enjoyed a gig or 2 @ both venues... (Mostly while VERY inebriated of course  ;D )

Also both venues are great for live experience & bands just starting out (The Castle especially)
