Perry,
I am looking at buying a vintage guitar from Japan. The guitar is in relatively good nick but is from the early 80's, as such there is a fair bit of tarnishing on all the hardware and the usual bumps and scrapes. I dont mind that sorta stuff, gives it character. The problem is there are a fair few chips, dings and such in the finish. It is a cherry burst (in poly not Nitro i'm pretty sure) How big of a job would you think it would be to strip it back and re-finish it in the same colours (or near enough) without worrying about doing anything with the hardware? Ballpark price?
Cheers,
Joe
