Congrats to Daz for putting on a great event and all the bands involved, many hails  :headbang:

I think the idea of a WF fundraiser is mandatory  :clap:

And in light of recent, um, revelations, perhaps a Castle fundaiser somewhere down the track too  :hmm:

Don't get me wrong I was impressed by the musicianship, but I thought the presence was a little lacking for a whole set. Personal opinions, who needs em!

Smitty, all seriousness, criticism is always appreciated. I agree with you, this is being currently being rectified with the new material. There's fast shit. There's definitely more influence from symphonic bands like Stormlord and mid-late Dimmu creeping into the stuff we're writing now. We're after a huge dramatic sound, think of a filmscore / band hybrid.

On the other side there'll likely be jazz passages springing up in odd places :lol:

Give it a bit of time so we can orchestrate it and polish it all up - this takes a while unfortunately, but I don't want to be unveiling anything lacklustre. Should be good in time.

Sounds v.interesting ... i look forward to hearing this new material!  ;D  :headbang:

Yes big props to TnT indeed  :clap:  Not an easy job to put on a show of that magnitude.

Pity about the last minute technical issues but fortunately the night still went off without a hitch.  Good turnout too!

Seems to me like this guy would take a metaphorical bullet for local metal..respect

Don't know about you, but the lights (for photo taking) seemed to improve towards the final two bands...

yeah, I did think the same when I read it. Not enough substance, because if you took out all the bullshit metaphors and stuff, there really isnt much left other than who played and who won awards.

The main thing I object to is the "sweat and stale yeasty aromas" associated with metalheads. I was in the venue before anyone arrived. Trust me its all Metros. :)
Though she forgot to mention sticky floors.
