Real amps are better ;)

We found it useful on some tracks for adding top end bite.

I was actually looking at the Bass pods. Just so I can record kick ass bass sounds without pissing of the neighbours. Guitar wise things are pretty cool. I just stumbled upon the pod farm pluggin and the pod studio GX and the others. Figured it might have been a better deal with the software. But thought I'd get a few opinions on here to see if it's actualy worth looking into.

I think they're awesome. You can always use impulses to change the cabs to better sounds too

Great for recording ideas and banging out EP quality stuff; PODS are amazingly flexible, but not as flexible as a fully equipped studio.

I love mine!

I don't use mine anymore. Just use plugin amps.
Some will run standalone so you can just jam.  ;)

Did a bit of shopping around at Kosmis and decided on the line 6 pod. The first model and I'm very happy with that one, especialy when using the 7-string.

I picked one up last week from Kosmic and it's fucking wikid. It also has ableton live lite 5. Spent about half the weekend trying to get it all setup on the pc and ironing out all the potential bugs. Havn't had much time to look at ableton live properly tho. But seen a few youtube vids on this software and I like what I see. Especialy from the MIDI side of things. Just have to get the interaction between Ableton live and the Pod farm pluggin sorted. There is a delay of a few seconds with the signal processing of the guitar. I know it's something to do with latency settings. But as I said, havn't had much time to look at it yet.

If you have problems with Abelton, try Reaper.  ;)

Well I downloaded reaper and just gave it a shot. It works brilliant with pod farm. Didn't have to go through any setup bullshit to use podfarm with reaper. Just open both programs. Now all I need to do is get Ezdrummer or drumkit from Hell and I'm laughing.

Just discovered that I can Rewire Abelton live into Reaper. Which is good cos my verion of Abelton has the Operator synth which is pretty good. Altho the operator is only  a demo version. Also considering if it's worth getting the expansion packs for Pod farm. Metal shop and Bass expansion in particular.

If you get any of the toneports the Pod farm is included. You also have Gear box, but I prefer Podfarm.
