Anybody had any experience with Koch Amps? Reading a little about them and they have some pretty different
ideas, just interested to know if they are worth looking further into?
I own the Koch Studiotone head and the Supernova head. They are killer they both sound a bit like VHT meets ENGL. Way less processed than ENGL however they both sound like a very good less processed and less dark Powerball that is how I would desribe it. I have owned all the ENGL's bar the SE and the Savage and the Koch amps have a better sound than any ENGL I have played. Warmer and way better clean - They have the best cleans and reverb I have ever heard!
I would highly recommend them if your interested in the Powerball or 5150 type big bottom crunchy tone. With a killer Clean tone as well! The Koch however does this sound better and with more clarity than any amp I have heard. I have not played any Diezel amps however Koch are the best i have played. I have also played most the Hughes & Kettner, Mesa, Peavey ENGL, Egnater, Bogner, Orange etc.
I'm consdering selling my Koch Supernova for $3,200 with the optional FS6 Footswitch and Dust Cover. It's as new never left the studio! They retail for around $6,000. If anyone is interested please email me: get_fragged@hotmail.com
