Queensryche Tour Australia in August!
To Perform Extended Suites:
Rage For Order / American Soldier /Empire

Australian audiences will be privileged to be in a position to be able to witness one of the most acclaimed artists in its genre when Queensryche graces our shores for only their second time. Conducting a world tour on the back of their latest blockbusting release, American Soldier, Queensryche has included Australia on its itinerary and will come down under to perform, what will be known as; Extended Suites: Rage For Order/American Soldier/Empire.

Perth - 27th August - Capitol (over 18)
Brisbane - 29 th August - HI FI Bar ( over 18)
Melbourne - 30 th August - Billboard The venue (over 18)
Sydney - 31st August - Metro Theatre (All Ages)

Rage For Order is my favorite of their albums. Haven't heard the latest though.

Is it the same mob who is bringing over Arch Enemy? They are about $75 a ticket. I will give it a miss and see these guys instead.

I went to see them in Sydney a cpl of years ago and they played a "Mindcrime I & II" set and a few tunes afterwards. They were awesome and Geoff Tate is every bit as good live as on the albums. I'm glad they're not doing the Mindcrime thing again cos it's been done to death. Will be good to hear them do something different. I've already got tix and will happily be front & centre

Im very excited for tonight, i just finished listening to Rage For Order, now im on to Empire. I love both of those albums, and i really liked American Soldiers too. Anyone whos says they only have one good album needs their ears checked.

At least you get Suffocation as well, who in my opinion are more worthy of seeing than Arch Enemy

I have to admit, although I'm not typically a prog fan, they did indeed pull off an outstanding show. I'll be writing up my review for Metal as Fuck tonight.

Capitol was reasonably (and surprisingly) full at first appearence when we got there as QR were playing. The crowd had a lot of +30yrs people (and a hell of a lot of thinning short back and side "i used to be into metal 20yrs ago..." types). Probably would have been better suited for Amps (would have been packed at amps) as it seemed to thin out a bit by the end haha....

Never saw or even heard QR before - and some songs i did VAGUELY recognise (so ive prolly heard QR before just not known it). Not bad but hardly something i'd rush out to buy.... still they have nearly 30yrs history so if anything they should be commended for their longevity.
