Howdy all,

My mate and I are thinking of going to Japan around the 17-18th of September and seeing the Thrash Domination 09 tour with Testament, Kreator & Exodus, two shows the 19th and 20th at Club Citta in Kawasaki.
Having never been to Japan let alone travelled Overseas by ourselves we're not sure of the logistics of the trip. ie how easy it is to get around in Japan/costs etc. Also locational details, I understand Kawasaki is about 20km outside Tokyo, so would we be able to stay in Tokyo or should we stay in Kawasaki. We would like to maybe have a night out in Tokyo too, and wondering would the public transport be the best option of getting around.

Just wondering if anyone has been to Tokyo/Japan would could give us some advice or just relate their experiences there.

Thanks for the reference NOSAJ SAN, unfortunately i've never been to Japan (although its definitely on the list of places i want to get my ass to one day...). I believe Jamie and some others have been before and rave about the place...

Having said that, flights to Tokyo have never been cheaper and if you're going for only a week or so, it CANT blow too big a hole in ya wallet. All i can say is - Do your own legwork/investigation and GO GO GO as chances are you will regret NOT going a LOT more than going and failing miserably, Chuck Billy you FUCKING SCARED FAGGOT. ;D

Just got back!
What an amazing trip, Tokyo the city was just enough but the two gigs we went to in Kawasaki and Nagoya made it excellent.
The japanese metalheads were all so friendly, willing to help you out and loved their fucking metal. The pits were all intense but not violent with dickheads like you sometimes find here..everyone was just there for a good time.

Was such a good trip, met many new friends and a fuckload of good memories.
I would definately recommend anyone thinking about going to Japan to just do it!!! Loud Park is coming up over there Slayer/Megadeth/Judas Priest/Arch Enemy etc....

Testament seperating the whole crowd down middle during their last song and getting every cunt to run into each other. Respect. They are also making a new cd after the tour and said could be coming out to Australia in June :)
