as a dream theater fan and previous "meet and great" sucker - please dont waste your money. It is organised by the promoter not the band and the band just get a cut to turn up get a a photo with you. sign something while exchanging one or two sentences and moving you on. Was cool to get a photo and a signature - but $250??

Robbed.

A lot of bands do that for their fan club members in cities that they tour to for free - and fan club membership usually costs less than $50 per year and comes with other benefits. So $250 is a BIG cash grab.

Only way I'd give Dream Theater $250 is if they guaranteed me they would disband on the spot and never reunite.

Or at least run a competition instead of charging it. Alice Cooper's promoters are charging $450 for their Meet 'n Greet package  ???

I noticed how the tickets were alot cheaper than last time too. The eastern state's tickets on this tour were still up at about $130.

I thought it would be cheaper for over east shows since bands whine about it costing so much to ever come out tooo perth?

Maybe they're hoping to get a bigger turnout with cheaper tix. Given that Perth IS the arse end of the arse end of the world.

Like 'em or loathe them you've got to give the band props for listening to the fans and doing the righty.
Shifting the venue from the tin shed and, (I'm guessing) lower priced tix for this show after the last one
unfortunately got cut short.

yeah score is good, but the one from chaos in motion really sucked...the quality was shit, reminiscent of a malmsteen album...then again BCaSL is dope!

Perhaps the plan is to generate the money where they know theyll sell well, and use the extra income to cover potential losses by playing in Perth.
