Author Topic: THE UNCREATION SEEK SESSION MEMBERS FOR CD LAUNCH AND LIVE GIGS (Read 6419 times)

The Uncreation will be in recording sessions until late 2010 as we have plenty of new songs written and a new album is being put together. The style is a lot darker and far more aggressive than Dreaming in R'lyeh with a definite black metal sound. This has been signalled with the release of our new demo 'The Preparation of Eternal Magicks'.

Although our current focus remains on recording we seek the services of session members (Drums and Bass) for rare live gigs.

A six song set has been written and well rehearsed. The set focuses on newer songs with only two songs from Dreaming in R'lyeh to be performed.
We are VERY KEEN to bring these songs to live audiences.

The music itself can be technically challenging at times with a plethora of changes in both time signatures and tempos. Blasts are commonplace and some understanding of odd time signatures is a must. We may consider taking on full time members for those interested.

Bump. Not enjoying having to turn down a number of gigs in the last few months.

We are still meeting regurlarly to rehearse and write.

Pre-production for the new album is well underway and preproduction demos are available to those interested.

We've had to pass on 2 gigs this month and we're getting sick of people constantly asking when The Uncreation is playing live next. It happens EVERY FUCKING TIME I go to a gig. The answer is when we have someone decent on drums.

Make no mistake though. We will NOT compromise for someone who isn't willing to put the effort in or wants to slow\dumb down our songs. We have 2 (s)excellent musicians who have offered to perform drum and bass duties for recording. As previously stated we want to do a live show for our next release. This brutal attack on social values will be released in several months time.

There will be an update on our 'activities' within the next week or so.

Anyway i'm able to hear some of your music?

Keen on the drumming position. Are you worried about age tho, or would you prefer somebody over 18? I'm 16, but have been playing drums roughly 18 years, and am very interested. Love a lot of the bands on your influence list.

We've been talking to a few people yeah but nothing concrete yet. The marvelous Dan Granger has performed drum duties on our soon to be released EP. Recording is our priority at the moment, although we have a lot of new songs we want to get out there and a new album is being constructed so we're keen as fuck to be back on stage.

Ah right. You see I would step up. But I'm not really familiar with odd time signatures. Well to be honest I'mnot familiar with much music theory, just the basics really. If I was 100% sure that I'd do good in a band I'd step up. If I'm not 100% sure and I'm not in this case, than I wont step up.

Nosaj i play in a band with odd timings and the odd polyrhythm and i also have no clue about anything musical, hell i can only name the notes on a guitar if they arent fretted, its not as hard as you would think

Odd times signatures rule! It should be said though that it's not entirely deliberate. That is riffs are written first. Then I discover it's in 9/4 or another riff is 7 bars of 4/4 followed by 2 bars of 3\4 etc. A particular accoustic section in a new song is one bar of 4\4 immediately followed by one bar of 7\8 this repeats 8 times then moves into 4\4 for 16 bars and repeats the whole section over. It's certainly not trying to be proggy. Thats just the way it sounds best.

When we recorded Dreaming in R'lyeh I didn't know even know what a triplet was yet the album has some madass timings on it.

Music theory can really help gain more understanding of whats going on.

8/16 = 2/4 12/32 = 3/8 (not that difficult to understand) and 16/24 is 3/4

Yeah Rob is a legend thats for sure. We did some good gigs with him.

Guitars for the EP were recorded over the weekend. We're still keen to get the line up for a launch.

We aren't too far from finishing our new EP.
We are currently planning a 'Release Party' without performing.
This of course is not our preference.
If we are approached by the right people we will hold off the release until it can be released in it's deserved brutality.
