Yeah that show at Amplifier was a stinker. Could just feel the heat pouring out of the room when you approached the doorway. Hence why I spent the whole time in the beer garden and just watched a bit of it from the entrance. Not to mention that I was totally trashed from the work xmas / new year do I'd come from.

Seen Amon Amarth a few times and still haven't figured out why they are so overated. I mean their stuff is quite good, but starts to all sound the same after a while.

They're about as shallow as sink-water, but I don't think thats entirely to their detriment. It's simple to play, listen and, most importantly, enjoy. They've been playing the same music for so damn long that the level of polish on stage is extreme (at least on the big stage).

I don't find them a band to focus much attention on, just sing along with the songs you know and have a beer in hand. Then you've got the right idea ;)
