Alrighty then...
For any early birds making the trip on Friday (20th Nov), a few of us will probably be leaving Perth around 2pm to claim our spot and set up. We'll then return to Dwellingup to meet up with those heading down after work or whatever about 8pm...the designated meeting point being the big car park out front of the pub (on the corner of Del Park & Marinup Rds).
Anyone making the trip early on Saturday (21st Nov) can propbably catch us in town again gathering additional supplies at approximately 10am, before the final return for any stragglers and last-minute requirements around 5pm.
Oh, mobile phones can be a bit retarded out that way, so just be aware of your reception in case you're running late, get lost and/or need to make a call.
For anyone in need of directions to Dwellingup:
Follow Albany Hwy out of the city to Armadale;
Continue south through to the South Western Hwy and follow it all the way down to North Dandalup;
Then turn left onto Del Park Rd, which takes you through to Dwellingup (the pub will be on your left, you can't miss it).
Alternatively, you could go the Kwinana Fwy;
Keep heading south down through Baldivis Rd;
Turn left onto Karrnup Rd, which cuts through to Serpentine;
And then, it's right onto the South Western Hwy (down to Del Park Rd).
From there, to locate the camping area*, turn left (off Del Park Rd) onto McLarty St (which turns into Pinjarra Williams Rd);
Right down Nanga Rd until the left exit onto Park Road at the camping area entry station, this then takes you through to Baden Powell.
*
Should Baden Powell be too crowded with public campers our alternative camping site will be just a few more minutes down Nanga Rd (so instead of turning left onto Park Rd), it'll be an open area located on your right-hand side.You can check out a map for your own
directions here.
Info and a map of Baden Powell and surrounding areas, which you may like to explore on Saturday/Sunday, can be found
here.
I think that pretty much covers it, again, don't forget the $5 per adut camping fee...other than that remember to respect the area and other campers by not going too stupid or leaving your rubbish everywhere.
Ok, so...who's coming?
