I guess a little more info would help out mate...

What areas are you looking at?
What experience do you have?
Qualifications?

I'd guess on seek or something there'd be a labouring job or two.  From what I've seen they require fuck all previous experience...

Im lookin for anything not retail basically, worked as a woodcutter and butchers underling in the past, so no qualifications i guess you could say

Mate,

I know these aren't the best of jobs, but you should be able to get one pretty easily;

Things like car detailers, car wash staff, Meat packers, labourers, factory hands, Foxtel installer? Meter reader?  These are all jobs I came across on seek just now.

You'd have a good chance at getting work through a recruitment agency - Someone like Recruitwest, PeopleCo, nationwide recruitment, flexistaff etc...

I can't say I know anyone directly who could offer employment, but I'm sure you could secure one of the above.  Just jump on seek.com.au, or jobsjobsjobs, or careerone and have a see what's on offer.

If you dont mind walking circa 20km a day, arent afraid of loons / dogs / snakes etc  you might be able to get a job doing meter reading for WPC (some of the other guys on here do it and swear by it).

Nah mate, that wasn't what I meant.  (Well not intentionally)

I meant since I have no idea of where or when he wants to work, or what he will or won't do, or can or can't do, it's probably best for him to call up an agency or look on seek.

He was asking if we could directly organise some work for him.  I've been in the same boat recently, and it makes sense that you should explore as many avenues as possible to find employment...
