The best album of the decade would go to Pink Floyd for their "Pulse" record, but unfortunately it was recorded 15 years ago so I guess it's not valid. Shame cause it is the best album ever.

Aside from that, pretty much anything by Dev is a winner. This is me drunken posting so I haven't really thought about it. But I think even if sober, I'd stick by what I just said.

Get fucked.

Hey guys,

Well hopefully 2009 isnt that bad of a year for releases, we're a bit underwhelmed in the list department atm. In the last few years WF top album threads would be 2-3 pages long by now.

We really need a few more lists to come in by this weekend, otherwise the listener poll will have to be canned, as it takes a bit of time to collate the information.
We still have a week for the Albums of the Decade, get your lists in by email or simply post it here.

OK, today being a Sunday and work being relatively light, I'll get a list done today.

I know I won't be happy with it, and neither will anyone else, but damnit, I'll do it!

edit: Wait who am I kidding, I don't have a list of albums that I own on hand so I can't do this at work. Next weekend it is 8) That going to be ok?

Pretty much put this in order of most listened to that was released in the last 10 years...

1. Macabre - Murder Metal.
2. Macabre - Dahmer.
3. Impaled Nazarene - Absence of War Does Not Mean Peace.
4. Dying Fetus - Destroy the Opposition.
5. Gorgasm - Bleeding Profusely.
6. Origin - Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas.
7. Mortician - The Final Bloodbath Session.
8. Gorerotted - Mutilated in Minutes.
9. Aborted - Engineering The Dead.
10. Cattle Decapitation - To Serve Man.

The likelihood of anyone else voting for anything other than maybe the Origin album is pretty fucking remote, but there you go.

As for 2009 I can't even name one album let alone ten, so I'm not even going to try.
My hands are choking, my knife is broken.
An orgasm is what I need.
Your blood is spilling, the sight is thrilling.
To cum I need to see you bleed.

Underground, unpopular, same thing. :D

It's a pretty common misconception that I listen to noisy, tinny, shitty grind when in reality I much prefer gore grind/brutal death.

Apart from Origin I don't think tech-death really applies anyway. Then again when most of those albums were recorded it wasn't cool to call every second death band with some minor creativity "tech-death".

It's okay, some "underground" bands only just missed the list. Cock and Ball Torture, Mesrine, Abuse, Fuck... I'm Dead, blah blah etc. etc.

I think the one thing I discovered when making that list is most of my favourite albums came out in the 90s, haha.

Awesome, now we're starting to get somewhere with this.

Yeah the decade albums are so much easier, its basically just a case of pulling out all your favourite albums and checking the back of the CD for the year of release.
