Katatonia Australian Tour?

Thanks to Craig for spotting this interview from Metal Obsession (http://www.metalobsession.net/katatonia-jonas-renkse-201109).

Here's the news we've all been waiting for:

MO: Will you finally be discussing the possibility of an Australian tour?

JR: Well it?s a priority for us now because it?s been overlooked for so long, it?s a long way to go there and we have heard so many good things about it, especially from the Opeth guys, they love to play Australia. So we have to do it with this album, there;s no denying (laughs).

MO: Have you been approached by anybody to tour down here and you weren?t able to?

JR: I think we were supposed to play a festival in Australia some 4 or 5 years back but it didn?t happen, I don?t know the reason why, maybe the festival went bankrupt or something but that was as close as we ever got, I think now is the right time to do it, to do an Australian tour would be wonderful to actually do.

Even though live they are sloppy and have no stage presence, I would give anything for this to happen. The new album is awesome.

I am sure you close the sale in at least Sydney and Melbourne, the size depends on the location of your choice. Fans of the old stuff would come anyway, because in Australia we are trying to support international events, even if they are a favorite band or something. international bands usually play in my city in the 90s and then everyone grew up and stayed home this month in my city, we Birushanah (Japan) and Whitehorse, Wolves in the Throne Room (USA) and Monarch (France).

That in itself must have taken a fair bit of talent to pull off.
My hands are choking, my knife is broken.
An orgasm is what I need.
Your blood is spilling, the sight is thrilling.
To cum I need to see you bleed.

It would be nice to see Kat here, so I can finally justify listening to Last Fair Deal at least twice a week.

It would be nice to see them if they came over here, but can't say I'm a huge fan of them anymore.
