Yep.. tune up. ;D

But as far as recording goes, I'm sure there are plenty of studios around to do decent work. In recent times I've heard good stuff from Depth Studios (Geoff Eaton from Nexus), and also Simon from Chaos Divine.

Here I was getting excited about Perth having their very own Mortician.

And then you mention Meshuggah.

:(
My hands are choking, my knife is broken.
An orgasm is what I need.
Your blood is spilling, the sight is thrilling.
To cum I need to see you bleed.

What kind of prices are you looking at? And are you going to record it yourself, or do you need to hire an engineer as well?

Meshuggah aren't a big influence of mine at all, just the whole low tuning thing everyone always jumps to "sounds like meshuggah"
hence why i didn't want to drop the M bomb.

Dont' have a set price and i'd like to work with an engineer

dunno if this helps but my band Hairy Buffalo recorded 5 songs for an ep bout a year ago and that cost us bout $1200. have it soundin better since posted on u tube now but if u want check us out ......i dont think tuning down should make 2 much of a difference on a recording if u have the sound u want coming from ur amp. i had to back off my chunkiness in the studio 2 get the heavy sound i have on the recording. if u like wat u hear and can imagine wat 2-3grand mite buy u let me no n ican hook u up with my engineer...he uses pro tools HD aswell. and has also recently upgraded some of his gear.
Let there be blood !!!! just not my blood !!!
