I didn't make the film guys. I watched it, thought there was some interesting points raised in it and decided to see what others thought. I didn't tell anyone to change their beliefs, just asked why some responded to it the way they did as a matter of curiosity. Some of you assume way to much.

While I tend to agree, I do think it is ideal to actually question authority... you know, as opposed to making assumptions about authority.

No, I agree with you... I think you may have missed the point of my sarcastic reply to the disagreement to Nihilist's post. Most of us are apathetic. We recycle, we buy "safe tuna" and we nod disapprovingly to war.... But we don't do much about ANYTHING.
I'm apathetic. I don't give a shit, and never really have done.... I think the human race is destined to fail through stupidity, consuming resources and destroying the planet and each other. Soon, hopefully (well, not the planet of course!).

Ironically, the point of the documentary originally being discussed IS ALL ABOUT CHANGING THE WORLD. But like Nihilist has already mentioned, most of the things that are causing the problems are here to stay, so we can only sit back and watch as humanity crumbles into a massive third-world disaster. How's that for some apathy for ya!?  :D

Interesting tidbit for the day: The original term "faggot" in a derogitory reference to homosexuals derived from when they were burned them alive at the stake using, you guessed it, a bundle of sticks and branches :)

The literal term I referred to was the bundle of sticks one. It was commonly used until not that long ago. Ever read Lord of the Rings? It's hilarious how many times it says fagot in that book. Don't know where the fuck those other definitions came from?
