Guitar Pro 5 Help!
« on: March 22, 2010, 05:57:58 PM »
Gday!

Lots of us know this program and i know how to use it just im having some trouble with it!
Ive copied this program onto my girlfriends laptop (after a mate did, then i deleted it) from my hard drive because my laptop is a piece of shite (hers is brand new). Ive noticed that the time signature (4/4) that pops up at the beginning of the new score seems to be missing and that my existing songs have no time signatures showing as well. the only way to find out what time signatures are on the specific bar is when i click on it to find out. My laptop shows it no probs but the new laptop doesn't!
Please gimme some info on how to rectify this as its driving me absolute batshit!

It sounds like it's just a view option that has been disabled. Try checking under View, and there is something there about displaying time signatures. Cant remembe exactly what option it is, will double check when I get home.

Val,

This my be a stupid thing to suggest, but do you still have the notation showing as well as the Tab?  I had a bit of a look round the program and there isn't really an option I could find that let's you remove/display a time sig...

If you have no Notation on, go file > Show standard notation.  Nothing else in the view file seems to be of any use here...  Other than that, it may just be a glitch  in the program...  Maybe try re-installing it?  :-\  Or download the demo version from the site and see if that works...

Dunno mate...

Good luck with it  :headbang:

Cheers Dan!
I did try reinstalling it and also did the hide notation and show notation to no avail.
My girlfriend seems to think that it might be the operating system as its windows 7 so that could be it...
Any hack versions of an updated guitar pro?

Oops I mistook the word Pro for Hero.
My hands are choking, my knife is broken.
An orgasm is what I need.
Your blood is spilling, the sight is thrilling.
To cum I need to see you bleed.

Nah he is having a conflicting issue with his sound cards as he runs multiple sound cards for recording etc

My soundcard disables windows, uses it's own drivers.
Works with everything else with it's own drivers or windows drivers assigned.
Music plays on startup but won't playback audio.
