I've always loved the Chaos AD cover. In fact, I want to somehow incorporate the blue brick wall thing into my tattoos as skin filler.

oh, and for the record, Beneath The Remains is a WAY better cover than all of them.

Another mention has to go to Deicide's Once Upon The Cross for its clever 2 page cover art thingo. You all know what Im talking about.

I also think this is an awesome album cover.

Way better than most of the so-called top 10 list.

All the Michael Whelan painted album covers are fucking awesome! Beneath the Remains would have to be my pick for the best looking Roadrunner sleeve.
And the Type-0 Bloody Kisses cover rules.... but not the censored one. I want TONGUE!

Best of the heavier metal covers for sure. When we hung out with Trevor the day after the last show, he was telling us how they came across the art work and the whole story about how they snapped it up.

I read a book which told the story of how Roadrunner bought that piece to have as stock art for an album, and it was promised to Sepultura for BTR album (hence Igor's sleeve tatt of the eyeball).... then they threw a curve ball and chucked it on Obituary's album. Probably suites the Obituary album better, in terms of matching image with sound. Igor must have been pissed, though, at the time!!

Beneath the remains is still one of my favourite album covers, so they didnt do too badly out of it, but yeah - he would have felt gutted when he found out

I think the Arise cover was far better.

I had a huge wall-hanging of it it my room when I was younger, theres so much detail in it.
