The Castle (renovations)

I walk past The Castle everyday on my way to work. There are some major renovations going on there. The floor has been ripped up, the roof is being restored beam by beam. Does anyone know exactly how extensive the renovations are and what the final outcome will be? Are they completely redesigning it or just fixing the rusting bolts and rotting asbestos?

we don't want it to look too good, otherwise it will turn into the Amplifier bar, pull some crowds, and they will start treating us like shit  >:(

Hey, still be better for everyone in the end of it is a bit nicer and pulls more people. Better for the venue to make more money, better for the bands to play to bigger crowds. Win win...provided that is actually the case.

I just know its not a 'we need to open the space up more and create this illusion like a casino an make the place more HIP!' because thats not what the castle is about. you want hip night club feel you go to another venue :) the castle will always be that nice dark corner with great live music that all the footy boys in pink shirts dont know about.

^^^^ for the girls toilets?... i dont have that problem..i use the urinal and avoid splash back hitting my feet cause theres no depth to the thing.. >:(
