Ebay scammer getting his just rewards
« on: May 02, 2010, 08:15:05 PM »
Lets hope the cops see the right perspective on this one.

http://www.robshilimon.com/

Just read this this morning - posted through another site - Wow, over 40,000 hits now!

A guy that has been scammed on ebay has set up a site under the scammers name and is publicly shaming him, which the scammer is obivously unhappy about and is taking legal action for defamation.

For anyone that buys stuff through ebay, you may find this interesting.

Click on the "Read about my experience" link and see what has transpired thus far...

Whattaya think? should this guy be punished for his website? The law says he should...But if you're defaming a law-breaker whos ripped you off, should there be a grounds for it?

Good on him  ;D
Fuckheads like this eventually rip off some gullible young thing that ends up being the daughter of someone violent, that not only will get her money back but will break kneecaps for good measure.

Scammers certainly are the lowest of the low. I think what this Matt guy is doing is brilliant.
Scammer live for anonimity. Publicly shaming this guy would be making him feel very uncomfortable indeed.

Poor guy..

Saying that its rare to get ripped off on Ebay these days as the criteria for sellers is very strong now. It is compulsory for a seller to be  registered with Paypal which is a extra level of identification with your bank accounts etc and also buyers protection with paypal so you can get a charge back if filing a dispute for items not received etc.  for example if i ship something and buyer files a dispute as item not received then the buyer will get his money back through paypal if I cannot provide tracking numbers etc.

Plus the DSR (Direct Seller Ratings) ratings on Ebay now are very stringent you get penalized for things like, shipping time, descriptions etc etc.

as the guy says at the end moral of the story use PAYPAL if you want to be covered by buyer protection.
